How I Started:
I started working out in the late 80's. I quit smoking in 1993, and started running and working out more in 1994.
Why I Love It:
It keeps me healthy and helps me to deal with everything that happens to me.
How I Stay Motivated:
Right now, I am doing it for my mother.
BB Accomplishments:
No bodybuilding accomplishments, but I have run 12 half marathons and 5 full marathons. Also, I have done a 100+ mile bike ride.

To complete the Quad City Marathon on September 23 and dedicate it to my mother.
Goal (Long):
I have ran 4 marathons since 1995. Injuries have kept me from running one since 2002. One of my goals is to run another marathon in 2007 and dedicate it to my mother, who passed away March 10, 2007. I did complete the marathon, and am focusing on recovery. So far, I have completed 5 marathons. I would like to do more. I plan on training for the Flying Pig Marathon, which is in May 2010.

Great job on all your accomplishments. I quit smoking one year ago now and want to kick up my new healthy lifestyle. I want to do a 10K in '09 and hopefully a marathon in '10...NYC maybe :). People like yourself tell me I can do it. Keep going!
