HOW I STARTED:

While attending MOS School for the Marine Corps in North Carolina, I started casually messing around with the weights...the rest is history.

WHY I LOVE IT:

It keeps me focused, driven, and provides me with a personal goal and challenge. The challenge and goal to constantly improve; to get better and stronger. It challenges me to learn about my body, what works and what doesn't work best. I started competing in 2008, and have been hooked! At the meets, it's great sportsmanship and camaraderie. If you fail, you get back up. I think working out seriously helps build character.

Quelly well those numbers aren't that high currently, i tore my hammie day before memorial day so the squat and deadlift are n/a now lol...and the pressing is down a bit after 6 months+ of contest prep...but I hired layne, and I've been dieting and doing cardio since jan 1st...make it progressive, and only drop carbs or fat or add cardio when you don't lose weight...aim for 1-2lbs/week Jun 24, 2009 1:25am
