Saw great gains in strength and was dissapointed by my size. The two weren't equate to each other. Another big reason was to boost my confidence. being bigger helped my fighting (now doing mma)
Why I Love It:
Huge confidence booster. I have something that I am good at. I have control over my body and my diet. No longer playing in organized sports left me itching for something to compete/strive for.
hitting PRs. each workout is part of something bigger. Its chapters to a book in getting to my goals.
How I Stay Motivated:
Knowing I can do something with this sport and how much it will/has benefitted me.
Looking back at where I was, and where I am now. Every PR i get helps me to really appreciate what strength really is.
BB Accomplishments:
Gained 40 lbs of muscle in about 18 months. And keeping my bf% at 12%
I HAVE COMPETED!!!!! Alot of people in the gym say they are strong and that they can do something better than i can. but when it comes down to it I do anything i can to prove that I stand behind all my lifts. They haven't competed.
I won the Rise of the Deadlift, drug free.

after i went away to college, got serious, started to make a hardcore diet and lifting with a routine. didnt do alot of back aside from deadlift and some mahine rows.
Win the 181 lb JR division for the AAPF STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.......raw.
Goal (Long):
I want to get at LEAST a 1400 total at state next march, where i would be a CLASS I lifter.
from there I want to defend my Deadlift title, meanwhile I want to get to the National Championships for AAPF in 2009 (in Idaho!!!! w00t!!!!) and place in the top 5 for 181's
By this time i hope im in the 1550 range putting me at a Master Catagory.
I dont know how i will progress, i hope its continuous, and if not I learn alot and tear through the barriers like a fukkin monster.
Long term I want an 1800 total @ 181. It likely wont happen for a LOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG time, but im focused on hitting my goals by way of HARD FUKKIN WORK!
Description: This is a little commercial my bro made for a school project. this vid was a little while ago and I have since gotten much stronger, faster, bigger, deadlier, and spartaner. I used a screenshot to take progress pic @ 51 seconds into vid. Vid Taken:March2006
dude, where'd you get your standards for strength? because I asked an MMA coach and these are what he gave me: deadlift 2x bw, squat 1.5x bw, bench 1.25x bw, and military press bw. you're strong man.
Hey looking strong, but to angularize your jawline wait until no one's home and start separating m&m's into color groups and pretending they're little villages of people with their own economic and social problems, and then try to fix them through free trade agreements and other diplomatic measures.
