When I Started:
Jun, 2007
How I Started:
The first thing I feel compelled to add here is that I do not take steroids or drugs. I am completely natural and believe that I can achieve my goals by staying such. As far as how I got started in all of this... Hollywood influences from my childhood. Started training in high school b/c I was so skinny and had low self-esteem. While in college a fraternity brother talked me into competing while at ISU in Terre Haute, IN and I did. I also competed the next year and then hurt my shoulder. Over the last 10 years had 2 shoulder surgeries. Started training again 6 months ago and decided to compete next spring when a friend at the gym talked me into competing in 5 weeks in Ft. Wayne at the Indiana State.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy fitness period. I guess it helps me relieve stress. Besides, as a 31 year old bachelor what else is there to do? Actually, I think it's good for the soul- at least it's good for my soul. I know it's weird, but I have always wanted to train. There's just something in me that makes me that way. Plus, I have to admit that I appreciate the way an exercise routine makes me look in a suit and, more specifically, in a t-shirt or polo.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by keeping in touch with my goals and shooting for the future. Occasionally I'll watch a movie or listen to a soundtrack- like Rocky. I'm a bachelor so it's easier for me to stay focused. And, since I have no dependents it makes it realistic too. I am literally a lone ranger. My phone doesn't ring from calls from my friends or family unless they need to use my truck or need a favor. So, I stay in the gym and keep goals for myself. Joel Osteen said that birds fly in flocks and eagles sore alone. I believe that to be very true!
BB Accomplishments:
I think my biggest major accomplishment, when it comes to bodybuilding, is returning to the sport after such a long layoff. As far as actual shows are concerned, I competed in the Mr. ISU, in Terre Haute/ IN, in 1997 and 1998. I have both on tape as well as DVD. I didn't practice a diet in 1997, but I did for 13 weeks in 1998 and that year I placed 2nd in my class. Everyone told me to compete a third year b/c I'd win it, but while training that summer I tore my rotator cuff and that was all she wrote... until now!!!!
Forum Signature:
I am sorry for being so hard on myself and so closed minded in the past. I'm not perfect and have my own insecurities to deal with. I believe in Jesus Christ and if that offends you that's your problem!

Pay no attention to the lighting here. Detail can't be noticed as there was virtually no light at all in the studio
Currently I am focusing on staying healthy and gaining as much size as possible before dieting down in February for the 2009 Mr. Indianapolis. I am also hoping that I can stay evenly proportioned while really strenthening my legs and upper back.
Goal (Long):
Would like to come into the Indianapolis in 2009 at 165lbs solid. Have adjusted my routine to focus on gaining size as well as building up my mid and lower back as well as to focus on the tie in between the glutes and hams.
As of Thurs July 3rd... began taking Hydroxycut... hoping to refine all details at this piont in time. Cardio in the mornings- 45 minute walk after morning abdominal routine. Weights still in the evening regularly through Friday. Beginning Wed before the Sat 12th show... adjusting diet....
Training program currently consists of weights during the week- usually in the evenings. At wakeup I typically do 100 leg raises (while lying on the floor). Sat and Sun I don't lift weights, rather I run four 100m sprints each day. Calves are trained twice a week- Monday and Friday.
Thanks for the compliment! I'm actually moving to KY next year. I've been looking into the shows they have up that way. I can't wait to get back into competing once I leave Iraq.
Best of luck!
The INBF is the armature division of the WNBF!! If you win the open over all of the show then you get your WNBF pro card. It has to be a pro qualifying show. It is also a Natural org and every one is drug tested. 7 Years drug free. It makes it an even playing field!! You would have a blast!!
presuming your fast metabolism sheds water fast, sodium drop by Wednesday is cool. I know there is some sodium injected into most chicken, unless it is free range.
u embedded the diet tweaks via Vista, and we are running windows 98 on our home PC! LOL! So I could not access it. Yeah, drop sodium daily now until Wednesday, get down to virtually no sodium intake. You getting in a gallon or more of water daily? See or feel any difference? Muscle look fuller?
Hard to tell, but u look tighter. Need to see the ham glute tie-in for riptedness check. Gotta work with you on the front dbl bi, bring those lats out wider cause I know they are there. I think you look really good for one week out.
I suggest 2 capsules soon after u get up, two more by 3pm so it doesn't keep u awake at bed time. If u feel too jumpy/electric, back down to 1 twice a day.
when I did my first comp I used Animal Cuts twice a day, dosed as suggested. Felt more alert and an inner vibe as I got really leaned down. What dose are u using, and twice a day, last by 2-3pm?
Yeah, arms on Friday for sure. Gym closes at 5pm due to the holiday. Will let u know when we plan to meet up. If time permits you can do some mandatory practice posing too. Cheers!
