Yes I made the decision to change my life on august 16, 2007. For many years after graduation high school and working security jobs here and there and the many nightclubs over the years I have packed a whopping 175lbs of crap. I could not see a bright future for myself at the rate I was going. One day while working at a hospital doing security I had a passed out or blacked out and fell down in the ER and had to be admitted for testing. The doctor told me to go see a clinic that specialized in overweight people. I went there and was prescribed an appetite suppressant named Adipex (Phetermine) on August 10th, 2007. I brought the prescription home and sat it on my dresser and each morning I would get up for a day or two and ponder it I should start taking it. I was told it might cause high blood pressure but since I already had high blood pressure I thought what the hell. I took it and did not feel as hungry all the time. But I am not saying by me taking Adipex weight just started dropping it assisted me with my goals. I slowing started taking the pill every other day and getting smaller dosages. I started my official program on August 16th, 2007 to transform my life and body into something I could be proud to look at each morning. I went to my local gym where I had a membership for 2 year but only went one or two time a year. I got on the scale and weighted in at 407.5lbs my waist was pushing 60 inches and BMI was 58.46 not to mention the 45 + Body fat I was carrying around daily. So I bought a notebook and every time I ate something I wrote it down in the book. At first I started with the basics just in the morning what I ate and the afternoon. Then I started with more details times and calories and values of each item. On Oct 3rd, 2007 I was introduced to the bodybugg calorie management system by 24 Hour fitness which was a life saver program. I only had to type in my food and it calculator everything for me. Now I use the bodybugg I still keep my journal but the evolution has been so great with my journal because of all the updating and new materials it really looks great. I have a long journey ahead pf me but I am confident and strong with great patients.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding and Physical Activty is something i am blessed with now and i used to abuse the abilty to be able to do these things i am doing now. There are people without limbs who would dream of walking and running and most importantly there are people who are going through life blind or deaf not able to put on an IPOD and listen to music while pounding down on a treadmill. It is the little things in life i used to not really appeciate but now i have a new founded meaning of life.
How I Stay Motivated:
The greatest gift in life is having a child in my mind. And 26 years ago my parents were given me and my only job on this earth is to not have to put them through watching there son kill himself with food, and lack of exercise. The thought of my parents burying me one day due to obesity killing me because i did not want to go to a gym or eat better is not anyones burden but my own. But most of all my father buried his father and my mother buried both of her parents i do not want them to have to bury me.
BB Accomplishments:
i lost 60 lbs in the first 12 weeks of my program and droped from 58inches to 46 inch in waist and lost 10 points in body fat after only 90 days. But my biggest accomplishment was medically being able to not take medication for diabetes. not having the high cholesterol or blood pressure. Winning is not just on the outside with the appearance but the inside where it counts most.

To feel better about myself physically and mentally
Goal (Long):
I start my transformation on august 16, 2007 after deciding i did not want to die young like alot of people over weight. so i started an experiement i call Project: New and Improved / my goals are simple to develop better eating and nutritional habits. Too know when enough is enough. To overall lose body weight and get to my goal of 235lbs with a 38inch waist and 16" neck. I hope to accomplish my goal in two years but have a set goal for 1 year to get some serious changes done. hopefully i will defeat my type II diabetes and high blood pressure. i will not let the weight control me and make my decisions.
What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
trying to go to heavy and caring about what other lifts thought about my weights used. it is embarassing if you are supposed to be able to lift more weight for you body type but you are not strong enough yet to accomplish what you should be doing. this can be intimidating in the gym around other lifters.trying to go to heavy and caring about what other lifts thought about my weights used. it is embarassing if you are supposed to be able to lift more weight for you body type but you are not strong eno...more

Hi there! May I make a suggestion about your nutrition? For someone your size, you're not taking in nearly enough calories. If you're working out hard, your body will learn how to more efficiently store body fat. Your ratios are okay, but you rethink them. I'm happy to help out. Read my profile.
