When I Started:
Jun, 2009
How I Started:
Ive started coaching jump rope, and Ive also gained 10 pounds. I'm considering competing again, but first I have to lose some weight. So here I am now, trying to increase my workouts and clean up my diet, so that I can be happy about my body and possibly re-enter the world of competitive jump rope! And who knows, depending on how this goes I may even try my hand at fitness/figure/bikini... LOL
Why I Love It:
I love the way my body feels after a great workout. I feel so refreshed and energized. I also think being sore the day after a workout is one of the best feelings... LOL
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at progress pictures and reading bodyblogs on this site, these women are sooo inspirational. But I also have to remember that there is no other body like my body. Every body is different. So I have to strive to make mine the best it can be.
I weigh a lot more than people think. Anytime someone tries to guess my weight they guess atleast 25# less than my actual weight. While that is flattering, Ive always been ashamed of my weight. I do have a lot of muscle but I have a lot of fat too. There is no other body like your body, so Im striving to improve this body I have. My goal is to lose the fat, so my muscles can come out of hiding!! I want to improve my cardio and be able to run at least a half marathon. I want AMAZING LEGS, back, and ABS. Finally I want to improve my overall health and share what Ive learned about health, nutrition, and fitness with others!!
Week two went by really fast. I managed to get in 4 really good cardio days and 4 really good lifting days. Boy was I sore after a heavy legs day. My cardio included a kickboxing class, a workout on the stair mill, and two 45 minute treadmill workouts. Ive decided to split my workout...
LOL
even with all the sweat, blood and tears of training, diet is always the hardest thing to stick with. I figure the same way you add a little more weight each time you're in the gym, just tweak the diet a little more each week too... :-)
Thanks, I appreciate that you accepted my friend invite. Best of luck to you in accomplishing all your life and fitness goals. Take care and have a great week.
