When I Started:
How I Started:
I started working out when my husband was in the Army. He trained everyday, 2 to 3 times a day. That motivated me to start training.
Why I Love It:
Pain is Good...
How I Stay Motivated:
My family and friends motivate me. My husband trains hard and is a cycling coach, so he has great advice for me. My oldest daughter is a fantastic cyclist. And my youngest daughter is in gymnastics. I have to keep up with them.
BB Accomplishments:
Second Place - 2008 Mid Florida Bodybuilding Classic, NPC.
It's been one heck of a ride thus far! I've been switching up my training every 6-8 weeks since the beginning of the year. I went from high reps, focusing hard on lagging body parts, and went to moderate reps. Now I've been doing compound training for a few weeks, and have been lifting...
My cardio was 30 min 3x/week (10 min low/10 min mod/10 min HIIT). Starting this week I am adding 45 min low intensity 2x/week 1st thing in AM after 1/2 scoop whey and black coffee. Maybe around 6 weeks out I will add more cardio somehow. I don't want to decrease my Cals again, or at least not by much again! I'M SOOO HUNGRY!!!!
Thanks, J, for the advice and compliment! Another competitor suggested me losing 1.5 - 2 lbs/week for the next 7-8 weeks to be ready. He's a natty pro. I'm starting this week w/ aiming for 1.5 lbs/week. I'll see how 2 weeks of that goes. I don't know if I can take away any more Cals! haha...
Hi J! I hope that your MIA was do to you being busy with your business? All I can say about the comp is that I had an absolute blast doing it! I decided to compete when I lost my job right before X-mas. I hope you and your family have a great Easter! -Jeff
Sup J!?! How are ya? Yo, how do I look for 9 weeks out - honestly? Do you think I'm making the right decision only trying to lose 1 lb/week or should I push it to more like 1.5 lb/week? I want to be ready. What do ya think?
Hey girl! You still killing it in the gym? Although, as I write this, I think that may be a silly question. After all, you're the one who can diet for a show AND resist eating the super yummy cupcakes you eat! :-) Hope you are well!
Hello! I hope all is well, and that the new trainer and diet work out for you; if previous stage photos are an indication it's safe to say you will be in ultra-killer condition by August!:)
Haha, I know - the Amgen Tour (or however you spell it) was awesome! Glad to hear your daughter is kicking serious booty, though no big surprise here - what an insanely hard-working family you all are!! :)
