When I Started:
Sep, 2002
How I Started:
Well, I started going to the gym at my school, wanting to put on some size since i was so skinny in high school. I liked the quick results I was seeing and decided to stick with it.
Why I Love It:
Its the only time I have for myself, when I'm not thinking about anything, and I'm just focused on one thing, kicking my ass!
How I Stay Motivated:
Lost a little motivation this summer, had a little too much fun. But now I'm back and motivated to work hard and be consistent. I stay motivated by telling myself there are no excuses for not making exercise a top priority.

nice tan from being at the beach, extra dumbell shrugs have been working i think
I want to add lean mass while keeping my bodyfat at or below 10%. Eventually I'd like to weigh 215 lbs.
I want to increase my incline bench max from 205 to 225, keep my lower back from getting injured again by strengthening it and my core.
I need to continue keeping track of my workouts and start keeping a log of my diet.
I'd also like to improve my hamstring flexibility.
I want to continue to strengthen my squat and deadlift, but not going for a 1RM because of my lower back problem, just slowly increasing the weight I can do with near perfect form for 10 reps in each.
For the past year, i've been training using certain variations of high intensity training (total body workouts, split routines). A few weeks ago, a friend of mine, after having been put through a high intensity chest routine by me, wanted to put me through one of his leg workouts. ...
Doing the good old split routine:
Day 1: Chest/bi's
Day 2: Off
Day 3: Legs
Day 4: Off
Day 5: Back/rear delt
Day 6: Off
Day 7: Shoulders/tri's
Day 8: Off
Repeat
I find that working out every other day allows my body additional time to recover after a hard workout. I usually pick...
for herb, yeah he just wants good people. he is a really cool guy, he is our friend so it was hard to leave the gym but its more money and a better oportunity for the both of us. we needed to think about our futures. if i see him i will put in a good word for you, that gym is cool cause you can really do anything you want and he is cool with it. but keep in touch cause i have to go to sleep gotta work out in the am and go to work! see you soon!
i know i would like to be a wrestler, but i would need polumbo if i started competing i dont know how to diet down properly, but one of the women in the clinton gym competes and maybe i could just use her. do you watch wrestling?
i know its crazy hard with a fast motabolism, i eat crap all the time and still can lose weight. im trying to start eating clean again though, its just really tough, i need to get a nutritionist, but don't want to pay for one lol. my boyfriend told me that dave polumbo was doing nutrition session for like 1500 a year or something crazy like that. he has been working with the wrestler HHH and he has been looking freakin awesome
rudy and i used to work at the gym by the rairoad station in saybrook, its a tiny gym and we had our own weightlifting class called the rudy and tabi experience, it was pretty cool. we got too many people who wanted to do the class so we just started personal training with them all
and thats crazy that you recognized me, i went to florida last year and when i got back one of the kids that was working at the gym we went to down there recognized me on here, and when we went to the arnold in ohio people were yelling our names an freaking out cause they met us, its pretty crazy!
yeah but planet fitness is such a ***gy gym, you can't do anything in there, you can't drop weights, grunt, carry around a gallon of water, wear a bandana, etc.. in shape in branford is way better. planet fatness doesnt want bodybuilders they suck, and they charge 20 bucks for a day pass! lol
omg thats soo funny that you found me on here! i didn't think anyone from around here was on bb.com! im sure you will hear from seana soon they ar desperate for babysitters, hope to see you around, check out my boyfriends page there is a link from my page to his on my page near the top.
Welcome back! I'm hit or miss at the gym, but I'm sure one of these days... I really don't know many people there, because when I work out, I'm in "bitch mode". Headphones in and if I need to use equipment, I just make motions with my hands.... I don't talk to anyone for anything. That's just me though.
Which beach in Old Lyme? Last year during one of those really hot days we had to start forcing people to leave Sound View - it was chaos....
Shoreline Health and Fitness might be a good bet for you. They have at least two gyms, one in Old Saybrook and the other in Clinton. I know a few people who go to a gym in either Guilford or Branford - I'll get the name for you.
I'm in East Lyme & Workout World is just 5 minutes away....summer traffic on 95 is the only reason why I left Shoreline Health & Fitness (not the biggest gym, but newer equipment & great clientele)
Hope that helps!
What area of the shoreline are you headed to? I'm closer to Rhode Island but know gyms as far down as Branford. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from you.
Yea I mean Gold's is my favorite cuz you get all the crazy people that are pretty damn motivating but we have Planet Fitness and Cardio express and of course little health club that are low key and may not have everything. So, I'd recommend Golds-you really can't go wrong.
Yea man, that picture was two years ago in Sept., I really have to update my picture, I've got Mad lines of toneness all around. Thanks for noticing. :) You better pick up heavier weight though for your abs you've got it going but get bigger muscles on the pack. :)
Adam - congrats on the solid, lean muscle you've added -- not an easy task at our height. God bless as you continue to work toward your goals. Keep it up.
