I've been working out on and off for years and just got started again a few weeks ago. Not sure why I never stuck with it, but this time around, I plan to keep up with a better lifestyle and make bodybuilding a way of life. Wish me luck and perseverance!
Why I Love It:
I enjoying seeing the changes in my body, however small or slow they may be.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by reading other profiles on here and learning how other people have trained. I also stay motivated by weighing myself and calculating my body fat percentage. Seeing the pounds of fat come off and building muscle keeps me going.
BB Accomplishments:
Losing approximately 35 pounds from my highest weight (244 pounds in November 2006).

This was taken about a year and a half ago, before I really started working out. As you can see, I have way too much bodyfat.
This pic was taken Aug 26, 2007. I'm about 30 pounds lighter than I was in Jan 2006. I'm not nearly where I want to be yet, but I'm getting there.
I've been out of the gym for a few weeks. First, I went on vacation (a cruise...which was fun, but I gained some weight). Then, I got back and have been too busy to work out much until today. I have gained about 4 pounds since I left for the cruise, so now I'm hitting it hard again. ...

Workout Program:
I lift three times a week and do cardio three times a week, alternating between lifting and cardio. Then I rest once a week.
My cardio program consists of either doing cardio at home with a cheesy cardio DVD (like HipHop Abs...don't laugh...it's fun!), or riding my bike for 45 - 60 minutes....
It's not going to be easy but with hard work you'll get there....Me,working hard to drop 60 lbs this year, workouts are good and diet is a work in progress(75%)and trying to get better...
It can be a struggle, tis the season to be jolly and go to holiday party and family gathering and try not to eat and drink too much,it is a struggle....Will weigh in on the 15th,hoping the scale will put on a smile....
I'm with you, doing more cardio.Starting to feel alot better ,made some gains in the weight loss so sticking with the cardio.Good luck and keep me posted of any progress.....
Hey Trent thanks for the advice,I've increased my cardio and my diet is, or should I was my problem.Watching what I eat has always been a problem, been doin' great for a week now. Will weigh at the end of the month hopefully it will be positive results. How are you doing....
We all need a break sometimes.Good to hear you're ready to get back in the swing of things, just take it slow and work yourself back up to speed. As for me,well been stuck at the same weight, still in the gym and working on this diet...
Hate cardio, welcome to the club, but the end justify the means so I gotta do more cardio.I do weight training 3 to 4 days a week and cardio each time and 2 days of just cardio,I'll try this for a month and see what results I get.
How is everything in Nawlins' Trent, making any good progress...Thanks for the support,I've been working hard to get to where I want to be,in the gym all the time, trying to eat clean(right now about 80%)alot of protein and cardio cardio cardio, which I'm doing 5 to 6 times a week.Keep up the hard work your dedication will pay off....
Thanks man! I hated it at first; 5am sucked :) But after making myself for 30 days it became a habit, and I began liking it and wanting more time! The 30 day habit thing isn't really official. I just heard that if you do something for 30 days straight it forms a habit, and you feel funny if you stop. I had to allow for the intial soreness, but I tested this and it really worked! I recommend this to everybody now. Do whatever you do for 30 days and you're hooked. Good luck man! mj
Making slow progress on the weight but its's coming off,I'll weigh in on Monday also no body fat taken as of yet...Seeing more definition and getting stronger so that's a welcomed improvement...Good luck and I'll keep you posted...
