Wow, where do I begin...well, I guess I'd have to thank a bad break-up for this (lol). Once I was single I took a really good look at myself and didn't like what I saw. I was never obese but I was in terrible shape, had an extra unnecessary 30 lbs. on me and my eating habits were outrageous...soooooooooo, I just started cutting back on what I ate and saw immediate results. Eventhough I lost the 30 lbs. I still felt out of shape...Enter my brother and the wonderful world of weight training. Under his guidance I learned about exercises and form and that's all it took! I was hooked from that moment on! With the help of Fitness Expert, Cathy Savage, and her SOS program I've competed in 3 figure competitions (2 in 2006 & 1 in 2007). I've decided to take this year off and I'm currently, in the process of fine tuning my physique for next year's competition season.
Why I Love It:
I love the way I feel about myself as a result.
How I Stay Motivated:
Magazines like Oxygen, Muscle and Fitness Hers and American Curves. I hope to be featured in one, if not all of them one day! HOLLAH!!!
BB Accomplishments:
Having people tell me that I inspire them to eat healthy and go to the gym. There's no other feeling like it!
For starters, I'd like to lose the 17 pounds I gained over the last year. Next, I'd like to focus on developing my legs and shoulders a bit more. Also, instead of strictly sticking with the INBF next year, I'd like to take a stab at Fitness America Pageants and/or The NPC. I want to see how I'd do in a larger pool of athletes.
To me Ava, you're the opitome of fitness success. You overcame challenges in yor life and proved that if you REALLY want something, it can be achieved. Again, thank you for help keeping me inspired.

Okay, so it's been 6 weeks and I'm 8 weeks out from the Naturalmania. Boy I tell ya . . . when I said I had ALOT of work to do, I was NOT joking. At this point, my weight has gone up to 135lbs and that's very disappointing. I upped the amount of cardio time to 45 minutes 5xweek so I'd like...
I feel like that. I got some modeling things lined up and I guess things happen for a purpose cause I need to be softer for them. And the weight loss only helps. But after my photo shoot saturday Im back on it. I also got booked for a fitness video and at first they were concerned I was in better shape than the star (SERIOUSLY) but me looking smaller balances it out so I guess all the road bumps are going to pay off for me.
I'm out chica. I can't train right now. So if I can compete in the future it will be August at the earliest :( but hey that gives me more time to cheer for you! So rock it for me ok?

Lots of military training the last three months has made a lot of my training inconsistant. Now I am working on getting my consistant workout rountine back.
Can't wait. I know you are going to look amazing! I'm putting in da' work double time but the body can only do so much. I'm not competing against anyone but myself so I will keep that in mind. You know we play to WIN girl!!!
You know what? That may be what I have to do. I'm no going to loose but with injury and allt hethings I had going on this past month I am off 4 weeks where I need to be with my legs. I mean I have clients who I sew posing suits for who take the stage not at their best, like they feel they could be better but they still go. I don't want to feel I can improve one more thing when I compete. So I'll see. Good idea. If I had your legs I would be in bliss!

Hi Icela. Been a while. How is everything. My competition season will be on hold for a year. I have to deploy to Iraq in July. I will still be working out and focusing on doing shows next year when I get back. I still will be in touch. Terry
