When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
I gained about 50 pounds in college. My boyfriend of 4 years is in incredibly great shape and has been helping me get back into the swing of things. I was a cardio queen for about 2 years until I stumbled across Bodybuilding.com and the Hydroxycut Max Challenge! I'm more motivated now than ever to get back to where I was in college... and push for even better!
Why I Love It:
To me, the gym is like therapy. Makes me feel happier, healthier, & less stressed out. Day in and day out, I balance many activities and going to the gym is my "escape."
How I Stay Motivated:
Total body transformation... that's the goal! I want to WIN the Hydroxycut Max Challenge! I want to WORK so incredibly hard for something! I want to FEEL like I've earned it! I want to KNOW that I deserve it! I want to BE totally dedicated!
BB Accomplishments:
FINAL ESSAY FOR HYDROXYCUT CHALLENGE
For the past 6 years, I’ve been helping others improve their lives. This April, I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work and have been fortunate enough to explore and empower the lives of others.
Still, nothing equals what I’ve learned in the past 14 weeks! In true social work fashion, I’ve always been taught to place the needs of others before my own needs. Always stressed and 50 lbs. heavier, it was time to improve my life! Thanks to BodyBuilding.com and Hydroxycut, I’ve learned that I must first take care of myself if I want to truly help others!
A healthier ‘icing on the cake’
My boyfriend stumbled across an advertisement for the Hydroxycut Challenge and introduced me to the idea. I used Bodybuilding.com to research everything from supplementation to proper workout technique to healthy eating habits. Bodybuilding.com provided all the tools to keep me motivated and supported! I became extremely focused on my personal fitness goals—sculpting a body that I can be proud of, preparing healthy meals, using supplementation correctly, reducing stress, and dedicating myself to… well, myself! I have never looked or felt better!
In just 14 weeks, I lost 32 pounds and a total of 28.75 inches!!! Thanks to the Hydroxycut Challenge, I’ve achieved greatness in my own life and have inspired others to do the same. The greatest lesson learned: ‘The only way to help others is to first help yourself!’

I want to lose 40 pounds... although, I'll settle for losing fat and building muscle, which might not get me down 40 pounds! I want to finally HAVE that body I've always sat around WISHING for. Time to get this done! The Hydroxycut Max Challenge is just what I need to add fuel to the fire! After this, I just want to maintain what I achieve... and, of course, keep striving for better!

wow your 2 month progess is awesome! can't wait to see the final pics. you got good genes too because your waist to hip ratio is what i can only dream of. genetics gave me the long legs and the wider waist . . . finish strong girl you can totally do it!
2nd reason, the hydroxy was really robbing me of energy at the gym and making me sick when I would exert myself, and it just wasn't worth it. I didn't like how it made me feel, honestly. So I'm just going the old fashioned route of eating healthy and taking protein/glutamine supplementation, and it's been great so far. But I do sort of wish my before photos had been eligible.
2 reasons - i asked them if my magazine photo would count and they said NO, it has to have the EXACT DAY on the magazine. Well, I already had dropped 5 lbs and had made improvement and didn't want to retake my photos because I didn't feel like they would really be accurate "BEFORE" photos.
