As I gained some extra weight after having 2 children it started affecting my knee health (I was diagnosed with chondromalacia). The way I was eating was raising my chances for type II diabetis (I am genetically predisposed). Started working out for health and loved the results! Had to figure out my diets and training routines myself. Researched tons of magazines, books online articles. Picked and chose what gave me results. So, basically, 'trial and error' was my method. Thanks to all these resourses I have gained a pretty good knowledge of nutrition and physical training.Bodybuilding.com became my 'home page' in my web browser. I also learned how to 'work the mind' to reach my fitness goals. There's no stoppin' now!
Now there are many other reasons to keep going. I would not mind promoting a fitness product or fitness clothes line sometime in the future.
Why I Love It:
The art of bodybuilding pushes my body to its limits. It demonstrates to my children that to accomplish something worthy in this life you need to swim upstream! I also love seeing my family getting more fit and healthy.
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation is the key. It's not easy, since I workout alone, following my own programs. The main motivation - I enjoy it! To keep the motivation fresh I mix my routines up, put new goals before me, read lots of inspiring biographies of athletes. As I am getting ready to become a Personal Trainer I want to be a strong role model for my future clients!
If I slack, I remember where I came from and how much I had to work for it. I remember how unhappy I was and then look at where I am now.....Bam! I am back on the track:)
I get a lot of mail from women who need guidance in the area of fitness and nutrition. I am happy I have something to give them. I don't wanna stop at what I've learned so far. There's so much more to learn!
BB Accomplishments:
Overall going from 35% body fat to 10% and from size 16 to 4 is a pretty good achievement. Overall I look and feel like a totally different person. My major BB accomplishments are yet to come!

This is when my extra weight 'crept up' on me. I never was an overweight kid, but zero knowledge about nutrition and fitness brought this condition about. I dreaded to see number '2' in the hundreds place on the scale..I was tired all day long, knee health became even worse, and it was hard...
I have experienced first-hand all the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. The journey to the place where I am now would have been a lot easier if I had a knowledgeable and motivational trainer at my side. I want to be that shoulder to others now. That's why I am in the process of becoming a Personal Trainer, so that I could pass on the experience and know-how I've accumulated to all who are ready to make a change. Sometime down the road I'd love to own a gym and make a huge impact in this war against obesity and ignorance in the area of nutrition.
I am going to track my progress of this new program at a different place. I've started a separate blog for this purpose at blogspot. After reading the book The New Rules of Lifting for Women (by Lou Schuler, Alwyn Cosgrove and Cassandra Forsythe) I've decided to join a little challenge that...
You can definitely See the cutz, but Do you really wanna. Hey, I do NPC competitions and too many cuts are seemingly not favored anymore. My upcoming competition, I am NOT going to cut 'em up with water depletion - just leave them Full as they can be. Check out some pix of recent contests... *smile*
Hi Nat! I'm doing awesome. The tri season is about to get underway, so I'm training like a mad man. Hope that you are well too. It was good to hear from you!
