Overall Goal: Get an action hero/comic book character-style body, rock an awesome six pack all year long, say goodbye to all subcutaneous fat/cellulite, walk around in a bikini every chance I get, and become a stronger, healthier version of myself!
Fit Status:
It's amazing how significantly/suddenly confidence increases with bodybuilding!
Motivation Level: 10/10
Personal Info And Background:
Real Name:
Aidyn
Sex:
Female
Age:
23
Location:
Gainesville, Florida, United States
Occupation:
Project manager/personal trainer/model every now and then
Like many people these days, I gained a significant amount of weight a couple years after high school. I carried the extra weight for around a year and then got sick of it, started eating a fairly clean diet, and became a very active person. However, once I got rid of the weight, I went back to simply being thin, as opposed to muscular or strong. I did a little bit of weight training, but it was not my focus until I met an ex bodybuilder. We started working out together and I felt this euphoric electricity throughout my body as soon as I started lifting weights. The rest, as they say, is history!
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel overall; I love how much more self confidence I have; I love getting stronger and seeing increased muscularity; I love not being afraid to wear clothes that show off my body; I love being able to lug heavy objects around if necessary; I love it when carrying several huge loads of groceries up the stairs isn't physically taxing; I love how it has helped me combat my body image issues and improved my health; I love looking in the mirror and seeing what I've done for myself; and I love feeling like SUPERWOMAN! :)
How I Stay Motivated:
This site is HUGELY motivational! Most of the ladies on here have better bodies than the so-called fitness models. Going to the gym motivates me... so does going to the mall, but for different reasons.
BB Accomplishments:
Between the months of June and December 2007, I lost 50 pounds. I got into bodybuilding a few months after that and went from barely being able to bench or squat the 45 pound bar to the lifting stats you see below. My body fat has gone from 31% (highest weight) to 22% (before weight training) to 17.5% where it is now. It WAS 12-14% and I would like to get back THERE! :)

My glass isn't half full, nor is it half empty. It's just a glass. And I'm damn glad just to HAVE that glass at all!

What is your favorite "healthy" dessert? Give the recipe if applicable.
1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt, 1.5 scoops BSN Lean Dessert Chocolate Fudge Pudding protein powder, and 1/4 cup raspberries makes for a delicious treat that tastes like a cheat even though it's not.

What are your secrets for making healthy food taste great?
I'll be completely honest (hah, when am I not? Some say it is a virtue, others believe it is a fault!): I've been treating my body like a downtown dive all week, and this has to stop. I'm putting an end to it today. The look and smell of chocolate, alcohol, all sugary things, all fried things,...
I should have thought of roast beef. If it used to moo, my family will eat it. They might be getting just a little bit tired of food that used to have feathers.
I can still do pulling motions with lower than my normal working weight. No presses. Nada. Bench, shoulder or skull crushers for the next four weeks. I'm just glad I don't need surgery. That would have been months. I live in Richmond. I travel for what I do, but I've been here for three years with two to go. You hit my two 'standards' for healthy holiday food. I've got to come up with something else to add for sides. You back at lifting hard?
Rehabbing a rotator cuff injury and trying to build legs the size of trees. I'm just grinding away at it. Christmas Dinner bodybuilder style. That sounds cool. This will be my first Christmas Dinner with the family since I started doing this so we'll have to share tips. Thanksgiving is only a couple of weeks away. Keep working hard and we have to work on a comic book name for you. That needs to happen.
Still doin' it. Working on one more 12 week bulk that will end in late December. I'll see where I am then and go from there. Thanks for the compliment! I didn't realize how much I had changed until I saw the progress picture on here. Welcome back!
I love your favorite healthy dessert! BSN's proteins are the BEST! Non-fat Greek yogurt is a staple in my diet. Your new pics are looking great! Just remember----you are beautiful!
