I actually started working out for football when I played my freshman year. After football season ended, I signed up for an Advanced Physical Training class (APT). I worked out heavily up until my daughter was born and then it slumped drastically.
Why I Love It:
It's a release. To me, working out releases anything toxic or negative in the system. Stress, bad karma, whatever... it releases it through the discipline of iron and steel. Not to mention, it's a healthy thing to do physically, as well.
How I Stay Motivated:
Frankly, I haven't. That's the issue as of now. Motivation and discipline.
After graduating from high school in 2002, I weighed 200 lbs. at about 10% bodyfat. I wasn't super ripped, but I was very healthy. Now, I weigh around 235 lbs. and I have no idea what my BMI is... probably not that good. Lol. I've worked out over the years, but never anything consistent or worthwhile to make the necessary changes. Now I'm just wanting to get my weight back down below 200 lbs. and become healthier for myself and for my two and a half year old daughter. I've done it before, it's just a simple lack of discipline that's stopping me now. Go figure. Lol.
