When I Started:
May, 2007
How I Started:
been lifting off and on for years, but i relocated for work, and decided to get serious.
Why I Love It:
Its al about what i can do, unlike team sports, this is me vs myself, its all about drive, determination, and self disipline!
How I Stay Motivated:
Mainly i look at the health problems in my family, mostly from being overweight, but i like watching training videos, and visiting this site.
BB Accomplishments:
Overcoming two collapsed disks in my back, i fell down some steps on winter, a Dr. told me i'd never squat deadlift, or even walk normal again. Guess what he was wrong, i squated 300lbs, and deadlifted 225lb off the floor. Shows what prayer and positive thinking can do for you! Theres a passage in the Bible that says i can do all things thru Christ Jesus, and I'm living proof of that!
Well in 4 weeks I'll be moving, and its bitter sweet, I like were am at and I love my gym (Powerhouse!) but with family issues and stuff, I'll be relocating back to Iowa.
I'm going to use the next 4 weeks to go back to the basics, i've stripped down my diet and training. I got off...
Hey you!! I'm glad to hear things are going well for ya :) Things are great with me..I'm workin a lot too but still dieting, training and hitting the stage again in 4wks!!
Awesome news man. I hope the new workout/sparing partner is really pushing you to your limits bro! I am well gained a little unwanted weight but I am back on the diet and training routine! I am not MMA training as much as I used too, but I am still sparing two days a week to keep my skill in check.
Thanks! Just 2.5wks left =) I'm pushing right along! See, there is a brightside to not working...more time to train! I'm working 2 jobs and some days I have to get up at 4:30am just to get it all in.
Hey stranger!! Things have been good with me..4.5wks til show time =) I've been busy w/ prep, working and family stuff but I'm still kickin! I'm happy to hear the move went well. Its a bummer about the job, but that probably wasnt the right one for you anyway...that one is still out there!!! Its great to hear from you, be sure to check back in :)
Hey, man. That's cool you're from Jeannette. I grew up just down the road in Harrison City. Good luck with your cut. I'm about to start a Mitotropin/DCP stack myself here. I'll let you know if it's any good.
That's awesome man! It always good to try new routines and stuff! I have been really hitting the cardio and bag work, but unfortunately my fight got canceled, but I am not upset too much because I have been slacking on the diet part of the program so I have been fighting an up hill battle in terms of trying to hit my weight requirements for the fight any how.
YAY! i'm happy to hear things are progress for ya...you can never spend too much time at the gym :) things slowed a bit for me, i've been sick all week but im feeling better so hopefully this week will be a better one!
