How I Started:
I didn't know a thing about health/fitness until I joined the army, then I got out after four years and went back to old habits. Decided in Oct '06 to get back in shape and stay healthy.
Why I Love It:
Stress relief, sense of achievement, health benefits, adrenaline rushes, its my personal time (well, me and nine inch nails, haha)
How I Stay Motivated:
Staying active outside the gym, enjoy my time in the gym, Progress pictures, keeping up with the latest info and trying new things, discussing fitness with friends

You can tell I lost a lot of definition. Been eating very poorly at school this semester because of time constraints. Made strength gains though.

Weightlifter's shoulder, lasted 6 months until I finally quit lifting totally for two months and it healed
