When I Started:
Sep, 2008
How I Started:
Always had some interest in fitness but has only been really strong in the last year or so.
Why I Love It:
I love the euphoria I feel after a workout and feeling strong.
It is my therapy. It is my chance to be me and celebrate the fact that the human body is an incredible creation.
How I Stay Motivated:
I read Oxygen Magazine alot. I keep pictures EVERYWHERE. In my room, in the kitchen, on my fridge, in my diary...EVERYWHERE! Also having daily, weekly goals helps and looking at the big picture as well.
Also Bodybuilding.com is the BEST for ideas, tips, motivation, everything!
BB Accomplishments:
None yet but next year I hope to compete. Actually I WILL compete, either in May or September 2010.
I want to gain muscle. I want to look and feel strong.
Goal (Long):
I have had so many false starts. I want this one to stick! I don't want to be 'soft' anymore. I want to be strong. My physique ideals are Jamie Eason and Fern Assard. Their bodies are strong, yet feminine and proportional. For the next 3 months I am going to be strict on myself for diet and exercise and see how far I get. Wish me luck!
i love ava!!
she overcame so much and made such wonderful, positive changes in her life.
she is a true inspriation over and above her figure competition successes.
overcoming personal demons takes ALOT more determination and spirit.
but of course she does look AMAZING and has a wonderfully quirky sense of humour :)
Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?
Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
I have a training diary where I record my workouts (weight, reps, calories burned etc) I also record my food in Calorie King software. It works out calories, fat, protein etc. It's a great tool and really works for me.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
Fitness gives me a goal, a purpose. It has given me more energy and the confidence to persue other goals.
Ok...a loss of 0.5kg since yesterday...not as much as I'd hoped but I'm happy (it's going down. lol)
I had the BEST morning!! I hit a new PB on deadlifts...75kg and now my trainer and I are working towards 100kg!! I was stoked after doing 10 reps but another great thing happened. A...
I've tried to just take it day by day. I make a plan for the week, but I know there will be little obstacles-and I plan for that. I suppose just realizing that this is a lifetime versus a few weeks, takes the pressure off. If I go 'off plan', I try to not stay there.
I just wanted to stop by to remind you that success is within your grasp. I lost over 50 lbs in just 12 weeks and my wife (bodyspace: judimax) went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 in those same 12 weeks.
I believe that with desire & determination you will be amazed with what can and will happen. If there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance please feel free to give me a yell. I would like nothing more than to see you achieve all of your fitness goals and dreams.
I'm sorry to hear that..I know how you feel. I hit a little bump in the road myself...You can get past it! Thanks for the compliment..I took the pic right after a workout, I wish I was this jacked all the time :)
"Why is my stomach still so gross yet I can see my ribs now and my boobs have gotten heaps smaller?? I don't get it". To answer that question, the breast is the first thing to go when someone start this weight lost thing. And your stomach look great, you just need to define the abs, that's all. You do look great in your last pic. How's your training going.
You have come along way in the time you have been trainning. Remember this is also a mental as much as it is physical. Remember results come slow and always remember that every day you are in the gym that one step closer to your goal.
I LOVE HoneyMustard... Great name...
You're doing great, just stay consistant. You WILL reach your goals if you stick with it. Training, Diet & Cardio...
Best of luck to you.
Sounds great. Sometimes I mix some chocolate whey with coffee and a little 1/2 & 1/2. Gives a little choc fix, in a watered down less than ideal way, lol. Do you work with a trainer at your gym, or someone online?
Glad the training is going well. Lol I totally get the diet part. It's harder than exercise! :O I've been getting into the wonderful habit of gourmet coffees when I'm tired lately. :) Lol I get a small blended without whip and half the normal amount of syrup. Sometimes I'll order it skinny when I think about it. Once a week is fine, but I need to get back to just once a week! Lol
