So it's Thursday and i'm on the home stretch i've been very restless and can't wait to return to the gym. I feel mushy, even though i'm not, i feel gross, even though i'm not, what i am is antsy. Lucky for me i have a fosterling to care for, for 1 month, a 4 month old kitten. The funny part is i have never owned a cat in my life so everything is new!! After reading a few articles on the importance of taking a full recovery week from weights, i also read that no cardio is also advised. So here i sit bored trying to figure out how i'm going to spend my mornings for an entire week. I hate this!!!!! My body better thank me, with heavier weights.
Since i have decided not to lift any weights this coming week, let me rephrase that, since my body has decided not to let me lift weights this coming week, i have to find a way to still stay connected at the gym, (me bad) so my plan is to do my cardio classes and yoga after to stretch out all my kinks. ...this woman comes up to me and starts talking about my arms, blah blah blah the conversation ended up being how she was in better shape then me and how i wasn't very cut. What!! So i excused myself and continued shopping only to bump into her again and she starts up again about my arms, asking me how heavy i can lift. I think maybe she was stalking me lol. This was one crazy lady. So my question is, is it ever ok to punch someone in the nose? lol!
Over the years of cross training with many different fitness activities, i have learned the importance of staying limber. I'm at that age you know where waking up in the morning can cause creaking, stiffness and popping, so i had to find a book to help with stretching. Listening to my lower body and taking all of next week off from weights. Had a killer leg workout today, maybe too much :( Ice, heat, both? Anyone else ever overdo it? I know my body will thank me, that being said i'm going to miss my workouts. Heal and grow muscles how i love you!! lol! How is everyone doing with their workouts?
Today, i again learned an important lesson about loving yourself. I'm not sure if guys have the same problem as we women do, or if guys just don't talk about it. So the story goes like this. A friend of mine told me that my hair is too long. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on a mans brain, and what comes out of their mouths, lol! So todays topic is about another mans brain.
