I was motivated by another girl at my gym who was competing in Figure to start competing...so, I decided to take my training to the next level, hire a personal trainer and do a show! It was almost 2 years of training before I did my show, but competing served to be the right outlet for me, as I have always been athletic and into eating clean. I tried doing runs and the recreational sports thing, but nothing was really the right fit until I started doing Figure competitions.
Why I Love It:
It keeps me sane. I really believe that eating right and working out is just part of my genetic make-up anyway (lol), so I need to keep a regular schedule of eating right and working in order to feel like "ME". It is empowering and extremely invigorating to watch your physique change for the better and get stronger in the process...the gym has always felt like my sanctuary.
How I Stay Motivated:
Competing and fitness modeling! Having a big goal like my Figure competitions and then fitness modeling is very motivating when it comes to sticking to a clean diet and never missing workouts. Having a b/f who is heavily involved in the fitness industry himself, and who is supportive and also acts as one of my trainers is VERY motivating as well...we push and encourage eachother!
BB Accomplishments:
Receiving my IFBB Figure Pro Card at the 2008 NPC Jr. Nationals in Chicago, IL!

As you can see, when I first decided to start training for a Figure show, I was very imbalanced from top to bottom. And I know, it's a pretty hot pic :)
3 weeks into my off-season prep...diet, cardio and lifting protocol very different! Will be interesting to see how I respond. Next show will be in the fall! Goal is to bring a new and better package :)

Goal (Long):
My goal in the fitness industry is to compete as a top IFBB Figure Pro, fitness model as frequently as possible, work for a sponsor that I believe in and who believes in me and promoting me. I will put on about 12lbs this off-season and add thickness to my back and stream line my lower body this off-season. I want to keep in 5 days of lifting, 20 minutes to an hour of cardio 5 days per week, eat 6-8 clean meals per day with the bi-weekly cheat meal.
Less than 4 weeks to go now until making my pro debut at the Orlando Europa Supershow of Champions on April 17th!! These pictures were taken Friday evening (3/20). I was down to 125.5 lbs Saturday morning, which is almost 5 lbs less than my stage weight last year at Jr. Nationals. I'm so...
Monday: Legs
Tuesday: Shoulders
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: Back
Friday: Arms
Saturday: Chest
Sunday: OFF
Cardio: 30-40 minutes post workout cardio 7x per week, 30-40 minutes evening cardio 5x days per week (bootcamp, step mill, elliptical or treadmill intervals, short...

Catherine,
Forgot to ask, do you use the NOS(Nitric Oxide)pre-workout powders, and if so, which do you recommend? Thanks for your time and keep up the great work. :)
P.S. Are you going to update your meaurements & stats in your workout tracker? I noticed that info is getting a bit dated. You look awesome so I know your body has steadily improved since then.

Hi Catherine,
Been enjoying your pics and vids and workout progress on your site & BodyBuilding.com site here too and have a question or two.
In your Workout Tracker, which includes your lifting stats,it mentions that your Bench Press increased from 140 to 145 lbs and Barbell Curls increased from 82 to 85 lbs. And these are 1 rep maxes right? Anyway, is that a standing barbell curl or seated Bbell curl with the preacher curl machine?
