When I Started:
May, 1993
How I Started:
I started lifting in High School to pack some size on my small ectomporph frame. I competed in my first as a teenager in 1996 and won first place. In my second show I placed a disappointing third place. Disgusted in relation to where the sport was at that time in relation to steroid use...I decided to get out of the sport. I didn't think it was fair I had to bust my ass in the gym, only to be beaten in my second show buy a couple teens who admitted to me how much gear they were taking.
Why I Love It:
I have only recently come to love bodybuilding again. As a teen I loved the sport....however I have never liked the steroid aspect consistent with so many "Non Drug Tested", shows. I think it's great guys like Layne Norton and some of his proteges haven given bodybuilding a "Good Name", in reference to "Natural Bodybuilding" I plan on competing within the next two years at rock hard 179lbs, thanks largely to Layne Norton and the whole Backspace Community.
How I Stay Motivated:
Just want to get better, and watching lots of "Youtube" Bodybuilding Videos. Whenever I watch Layne Norton train...if this guy can't get you psyched to train your hopeless..LOL(-:
BB Accomplishments:
1st Place teenage division 1996 San Diego Bodybuilding Championships
3rd Place Palm Springs Classic Teenage Division.

I just love the guy! He's so humble and knowledgeable....an all around Great Guy! Layne is by no means a genetic freak however though sheer determination and discipline he has created a phenomenal physique for all of us "AVG JOES" to aspire to...Go Layne!
Why I like this video: Because if I'm going to Grow this is how to do it! Sure it's a high risk exercise which is why it's imperative I do it right. Additionally it's very important I do whatever I can to strengthen both my lower back, hams and quads.

Have you ever noticed how ignorant people tend on the aggregate not to be the most open minded, creative, passionate people in the world? Now I don't want to color all ignorant people with the same brush, however let me just say this. Bodybuilding is an art form like it or not....and for all...
