When I Started:
Feb, 2007
How I Started:
I woke up one morning (Which is a good thing), looked in the mirror and was absolutely disgusted with my body. It gave me a moment of pause, I thought about the physique I used to have, and where I went wrong. I also considered the health risks of carrying around all those extra pounds. I decided at that moment I wanted to feel healthier and live longer. I used to have an eye catching physique, I miss having energy, and miss my self esteem. I decided it's time to get it all back.
Why I Love It:
I like seeing the the physical changes in my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Bodybuilding.com - Seeing other people's successes, accomplishments, and transformations gives me a great deal of motivation. The Ol' "If they can do it, I can do it" syndrome.
My Family
Seeing the physical changes in my body and feeling the mental and emotional changes in myself.
BB Accomplishments:
A few years ago I weighed 200lbs with a 34" waist and 9% bodyfat. I was lean, I looked great - and felt great. I plan on doing it all over again and staying that way this time.

Well - it's better than it was, but a long ways to go...
My short term goal is to get to 14% bodyfat and a 34" waist. I struggled last year with my weight and suffered what seemed like setback after setback due to a traumatic eye injury which caused me to lose my right eye and resulted in several reconstructive surgeries. I'm back on my feet, and plan to be back on track starting now...
My medium goal is to have that shirtless sexy thing going on by this summer, I no longer want to be responsible for scaring women and small children as I did last year as a shirtless beach patron. I plan to be in competitive shape by 2009...
Crazy Good Workouts! WOW! Is all I can say, I survived the first week of P90X workouts, and I feel great - sore, but great. Today was a "rest" day - just an hour of stretching. Not a big drop in weight this week, but my pants fit looser, so somethings changing. The only thing I've...
We are having a FREE weight loss seminar on February 5th in Marysville. It will be at the High school. It is at 6:00 pm. If you know any one who might be interested. I have posted a flier on my page. Hope you have a great New Years!!
good job so far! if only we could get more people motivated. so many people out there less fortunate to see them selves and want to do something, your doing great. hang in there!!
Keep up the good work. I've been in the iron game now for about 40 years off and on. I have had a lot of medical problems and after a 4 year lay off I'm back once again. good luck !
Sumo dead lifts are a compound exercise that hit both adductor and abductor. Basically get your feet a little wider than shoulder width apart, lean forward ever so slightly so that the bar (squat bar) hugs your shins as you bend and straighten your knees. it's kind of like the wide stance squat, but you start with bar on the ground and straighten http://www.bodybuilding.com/fu n/exercises.php?Real_New=%3C%3 D+ 7&start=30&Name=&M ainMuscle=Qu adriceps&Equip=&Isolat ion=&ord er=Name
Your workout schedule looks pretty good and should bring about some nice increases in strength and conditioning.
Keep the faith and hopefully manage to stay injury free.
Way to go. It is tough making changes to ones body but you are doing it right.
Keep up the hard work and I look forward to watching your successful progression.
Thanks for the comment!
yea I know dieting/eating right is huge for weight loss. I have been eating WAAAY better then I used to. No Pop,candy, chips or fast food which is what put me in the position I am in now.
