When I Started:
May, 2008
How I Started:
I own an awesome dress, but currently don't fit into it!! I wanna change that :) Also, I don't wanna be in the group of people who blame their weight on causes, but then don't do anything about it. (C'mon, we all know those people. I used to be that) I'm taking action, and it feels SO GOOD!!!
Why I Love It:
When I do work out, I get this feeling of being more 'in' my body...like my senses are working better or I"m more aware of my surroundings. Plus, the endorphins are nice! :)
How I Stay Motivated:
Imagining the look in my husband's eyes when he gets home from deployment.
Getting MASSIVE encouragment from the kind people who are so wonderful and wiling to share experience, take time to read my blog, etc :D
Every day, I will be able to point to a choice I made that improves my physical/mental well-being.
Goal (Long):
Okay, so I'm taking a psychology class. We have to do a self-improvement project. I plan to use the project as an opportunity to reform my food and exercise habits. So, look for my blog to list my food diary daily. Biweekly, I will take a simple performance test, so I can chart my improvment on factors such as pushups, situps, and cardiovascular strength, in addition to weight and inches lost. This site is AWESOME for data entry. And it's motivating to know people are looking :) Keeps one honest.
I think that I'm almost afraid of getting fit. I've been one of those people who stop and start diets pretty much just when change starts happening. I've always been chubby, so much of how I define myself is in my (not so great) body image. So, I think it comes down to self-esteem, believing that I'm worth a toned tush and tight abs. Well, that was a bit of a ramble.
Essentially - I want to improve my food quality, exercise habits, and mental self-image - to include positive visualization and improved self-talk.
Does anyone want the last 5 minutes of their life back, for reading this? ;) refunds will be issued, with proper paperwork! hehe.

Okay today i know i screwed up. i have the stomach ache and self disappointment to prove it. my diet's shite and busting my arse at the gym's not gonna make up for that. I get it.
Anyway. walked the dog today twice, went to gym, 20 minutes on the eliptical, 20 on the treadmill. Today I ate...
I want you to know and believe that you can achieve your fitness goals. My wife and I know where you are coming from & believe that you can make your fitness dreams come true. My wife (bodyspace: judimax) went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 and I lost over 50 lb in just 12 weeks by following the 12 week Body for Life program. If there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance please feel free to give me a yell. Believe and Achieve!
