When I Started:
Jun, 1997
How I Started:
My father introduced me into lifting weights so that I could release my aggression in a socially appropriate manor rather than fight people. I was scrawny and weak but he reminded me that I wasn't lifting against anyone but myself. I took that to heart and began to make very slow progress.
Why I Love It:
It is the best release mechanism that I can find for stress, frustration, and boredom. I also like the discipline of hitting it hard everyday and reaping the rewards mentally, spiritually, and physically.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am self-motivated because of the way working out makes me feel. It is some really good medicine with a few side effects such as swollen arms and lower body fat %.
BB Accomplishments:
I have been lifting on and off again due to reoccuring shoulder injuries and surgeries. My greatest lifting accomplishment is staying with it and never giving up. I can alternate my workouts to suit my injuries.
A strong positive mental attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug.
Goal (Long):
I am taking a few months off of running due to a foot injury. My plan is to get as shredded as I can over this summer. I have never seen my abs and that would be a great joy with great work in store.

Bodyfat Goal:

Hey Nick..sorry I didn't get back to you sooner...but for CROSSFIT info, go to www.crossfit.com. There's a whole bunch to absorb there. The toughest part about us "lean dudes" is not losing weight while doing it!! Looks like you'd be in the same boat as me..so just increase your intake to compensate. Go for it! It's a real RUSH!!
Hey, I used to live in Bloomington, Indiana. I attended IU-Bloomington. There has been a change of plans. I'm moving to Tucson, AZ instead of moving back to Indiana. No more snow or ice!!!
I don't know if it's healthy or not. Its what I choose to do, it works for me. I'm not a personal trainer. I take in low carbs, all complex and it keeps me shredded, and I'm still putting on size.
