I was a long distance runner. resistance trained 4 days a week, was down to 4% BF. Then in 2003 and 2004 had
dbl spinal cord surgery. Now 3 years later and many pounds heavier, I'm ready to start back running cycling and lifting again.
I need to get back down to my opt running weight of 130 lbs, I'm currently about 165. Its mostly belly fat, from sooo much lying around while recooping from surgery. Lost a lot of muscle mass as well.
My goal is to run my first triathalon
this fall and return to 4% bf, my running weight and gain that muscle and ripped belly back.
Why I Love It:
I did this all once back in 1998 when I quit smoking and lost about 40 lbs running and then later on lifting.
I love the accomplishment and strength that is gained not only in body but also in mind and Spirit.
I'm EXCITED about getting back to IT.
How I Stay Motivated:
Prayer, Listening to and watching others
progress My tv at home is always tuned to fit tv wether Im watching it or not...
This is why I joined the sight.
BB Accomplishments:
That was then...this is now starting all over from scratch...........
Drop 30 Lbs..get back to my opt running weight of 130 Lbs...Build Muscle....get back the Body I had before The Spinal cord surgery I had in 2004...
Uncover the Eight pack I once had that is now covered with a thick layer of FAT.
Gain Back the Muscle mass that was lost from 2 years of surgery recooping.
Begin competing again.....road racing...and triathalons.....maybe eventualy fitness competitions.
Inspire my Lovely Wife to join me in this new Lifestyle of ..... " Presnting Our Bodies as a Living Sacrafice ".

Yes, you do deserve it!!!! So I hope you REALLY enjoy it!
I actually took Saturday completely off...first day I've done that in I don't know how long...at least since I started my contest prep...hubby was shocked to say the least...he always says I don't know how to take a day off, lol...proved him wrong (again), lol...
When you get back to it, you will be glad that you rested and your body will thank you!!
Take care :)
Thank you for the nice words in my blog!! We all need cheerleaders so it's good to know I have mine!! The more the better :) Hope things are going well! Shannon
On your blog...I know the feeling...seems I feel that way everyday lately...you have a great attitude and I know you will reach your goals...just keep chugging away! I have to tell you I went to the store last night to get some Ezekial cinnamon raisin bread...all out...Crap...I was really wanting it after your comment!!! Oh well, life goes on...
too much make up makes me look like a prostitute anyway. Who wants a woman he can't recognize in the morning? The arm is a bit better everyday, can't wait to get back on chin ups and dips.
happy Monday to you Chris!
Hey Chris...thanks for the comment in my blog...I'm short on time right now, but wanted to let you know that I'm gonna catch up on my blog reading later tonight...
Chris, that's great that you could do both weight training and long distance running ... combining both strength and endurance. I hope your surgeries were a complete success and you can now get back to your physical activities. time to remount that horse!
WOW...what a great comment you left in my blog!! What I've found is that my persistence has paid off with those around me. I'm not a pushy sort of person and by no means do I force my lifestyle on my family. That said, though, my husband and my kids have made positive changes diet and exercise wise after seeing my results. Keep at it and your wife will do the same. I have faith!!
welcome to the sight!!! There is some BS here, but it's mostly from the young kids. Those of us who are serious and commited, tend to stick together...mutual respect. Take care with the abs and back and stay in touch please.
