When I Started:
Jul, 2008
How I Started:
When I was a lot younger I had really bad eating habits and it came to the point where I was pretty much obese. Heading into high school I didn't like the way I was, but I didn't have a club as to what to do about it. Finally I started getting into powerlifting and working out since I played football my whole life. Eventually I was able to compete in state powerlifting meets and It all proved to be a success.
One of my really good friends who competes in figure was the one who really got me going. She gave me a lot of advice and since I was already in pretty good shape, she encouraged me to push myself to the next level. I mean come on, I spend all this money on supplements, workout clothes, and anything and everyone else involved in working out, so why not? She's a great help and influence and was there from the beginning. I can't thank her enough. She's such a great friend and great person. Thanks Jena!
Why I Love It:
It relieves stress so much. Like I said when I was younger, I used to be obese. I was really overweight and made fun of quite a bit for it. Working out helped me to relieve the stress I had, but It gave and still gives me more and more energy. Overall It makes you feel good about yourself and I know that it keeps me healthy.
How I Stay Motivated:
The one person that motivates me the most is Alex, my girlfriend. She has been the biggest inspiration for me and such a great support through many hard times in both of our lives. She encourages me to push myself to the limit and makes sure Im keeping up with my diet and my training. Wonderful person. Im so thankful I have her by my side :)
One of the main things that was difficult for me in life was never being good enough. I was always too overweight or too lazy or not fast enough, not strong enough.. etc. It came to the point where I just hated it. I didn't want to put up with it anymore. I started to read book after book and I loved it. I loved having all of this extra knowledge and knowing what to do and how to eat. It made me who I am today and I know that the last thing I want to do is go back to the way I used to be. Not to mention the compliments I receive from people at the gym as well as at the beach or anywhere. It makes me know that my effort is worth while and It has always meant a lot to me and that is why I stay motivated.
Just another thing to add, I just competed in my first bodybuilding show october 4th at the NPC Natural Northern USA. I loved it. I had such a great time there. The people were great and its fun talking to people about everything thats involved. It was a great experience and the people are great. I really can't wait to do another one!
Competed in the Natural Ohio (2009). Didn't go as well as planned, but next year should be a different story! 2 shows under my belt, 3rd one should be much better. Learned a lot about my body this last time around and I hope to gain some good size this off season and cut it down for next april!

First place finish in 2010. Fight to win a natural pro card in the near future.
Goal (Long):
Long term I want to stay healthy. I want to start competing in the bantam weight class this october (first time to step on stage). I really just want to get started in the whole competition process.
Well I accomplished that goal. Not its time to gain some weight and get up to the Lightweights. Can't wait to compete again!
So far the light weight's (2nd show) didnt workout as planned, but its not about how you do, its what you do after its all said and done. Didn't come in dry or hard enough. Gotta learn from this mistake and hit it hard for 2010!
Hey! Long time no talk! How have you been? Are you competing next weekend at the Natural Northern? I know we had made a pact to come back and do some damage haha...but unfortunately I'm not :/ I do Air Force ROTC and we have a mandatory "Leadership Orientation Day" the exact same day as the competition. Seeing as how I'm a Flight Commander, it's imperative that I be there - gotta support my flight!! Anyway, if you are competing I wish you the best of luck next weekend!!
Haha nice! I went and got a BBQ chicken ranch sandwich with bacon and cheese...and french fries...it was awesome! Lol but fa sho, we are going to smash October competition!
Thanks for accepting! Great results of your training! Specially shoulders, quadriceps, biceps, ABS, chest, well every muscle of your body! Keep working as before and I hope you will be able to reach all your goals! How is going yout training?
Jeff, I hadn't stopped by in a while. WOW man. Great physique! Looking ripped in the comp photo. Awesome definition - abs are ripped. I know you trained hard to get in this shape. I had slacked off about 6 months and just getting back into it today. Great job man. Keep training hard. I've got a ways to catch back up to my profile pic. I've gained about 25 lbs back. But I haven't given up yet. Keep in touch.
