My friends in HS got me into to it. I was a skinny 145 and hated how I looked. Within a few months I started seeing results, which kept me going.
Why I Love It:
The rush, the pump and a great sense of accomplishment. Getting closer to 40 has driven me to work harder and push myself to limits I have never experienced before.
How I Stay Motivated:
Checking this site on a regular basis keeps me psyched. I'm glad to see that there are so many other people my age looking great! I have picks of all the superstars plastered all over my gym... Arnold, Draper, Oliva, etc. Once I hit the weights, I stay totally focused on my goals and in the zone.
BB Accomplishments:
I've always said that I want to compete someday, but for now I'm just setting personal goals to stay focused.
Forum Signature:
Focus on your dreams, your visions... become a force.
Looking to get as lean as possible... getting closer to my goal of a 30" waist!!!
Goal (Long):
My ultimate goal is to weigh around 190-200 lbs, be at 6%-8% bodyfat and be stronger than ever. I want to get back to benching 275, squating 315 and deadlifting 405 like I did years ago. Turning 40 soon and I want to be in the best shape of my life!
I pushed myself to get up at the crack of dawn today to get an early workout… it’s tough, but I did it. Just did biceps and abs alternating sets back and forth… bi’s, abs, bi’s… etc., no rest between sets. To hell with cardio, my heart was pumping!!! Great workout… finished in about...
Depending on how I feel, my routine is split into four workouts on a rotating basis - Delts, Back, Chest, Legs (I throw arms in whenever I get the urge). The routine looks something like this:
Sun - Delts
Mon - Back
Tue - Chest
Wed - off
Thu - Legs
Fri - Delts
Sat - off
Sun -...
Hi, a big thank-you for your advice and i will definitely put it to use. LOL the low carb/high protein thing failed miserably for me as i did try it when i "thought" i was getting ready for a contest, just about fainted during some cardio once! Cut out most of the crap and processed stuff from my eating and have one good cheat meal on Saturdays. I will put more intensity into training, so thanks again!=:)
Glad to be an inspiration, bro. I have an interview that will be posted soon here on the site. I'll post a link to it on my page. It inspires me to know that I inspire others. No slacking...ever.
