When I Started:
Dec, 2005
How I Started:
I was unbelievably scrawny growing up (my family used to comment on my "12 pack", which referred to the fact that all of my ribs were visible). People constantly commented on it. I was off and on working out until around the middle of my freshman year of college, then I made the decision that I'm not going to stop until I have the body and strength that I want. Now I am pretty much addicted.
Why I Love It:
I'm definitely not there yet, but I get excited when I see progress. This is cheesy, but improving my body is the greatest gift I can give to myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
Lifting actually motivates me and makes me more excited to get out and face the world. However, the negative comments and crappy things that happened in my past are like fuel to me. I thrive off of negativity, oddly.
BB Accomplishments:
Went from a ridiculously scrawny 6'3 147lbs, to a more respectable (but still thin) 176.
Ultimately I want to get to 215 or more lbs of muscle.
Goal (Long):
I'm sick of being a pussy and making excuses about why I didn't achieve my goals. I have to get up and work my ass off if I'm going to be anything. It's now or never.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 40 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
8%

I like your attitude.. About not being a pussy and all. I was the same way.. I was a huge PUSSY.. it took me about two years to get over 215Lbs. By doing what you do and working hard, your already better than anyone else.
thank, my way of thinking is, if im gonna train i might as well go balls to the wall for an hour. If you got any questions feel free to ask. Train hard man.
Whats up bro, good luck with your goals, 210 isn't that far away if you keep at the gym and put alot into your diet and protein intake. We're close on goals, so get some progress pics up, thats what keeps me pushin out extra reps, crazy progress pictures.
Hey bud you asked how I made so much progress in 6 months. Well I think most of it was just getting back to where I was before I hurt my shoulder. My theory is that it's easier to regain what you lost (once you start working out again). Once you get back to where you were then it gets harder to make additional progress - and that's where I am now! I don't expect as much progress over the next 6 months since I'll be going down a trail that hasn't been blazed yet!
Mike - congrats on your gains bud! Glad you decided to get serious about building some muscle. Back looks good man - you should post some pics in the phtoto gallery!
