How I Started:
Rachel McLish has always been my idol ever since I saw her on the cover of Muscle & Fitness Magazine She's the reason I got into bodybuilding.
Over the years I have never had any goals, just go to the gym, lift weights and try to stay in shape. Never really ate proper or took supplements when I was supposed to.
Well it's time for me to finally achieve my goals and get serious. I did the Body For Life Challenge in April 2008 and then competed for the first time in November, 2008 at the age of 42. Never underestimate yourself. Never say never because it's NEVER too late.
Why I Love It:
It keeps me strong and healthy and I feel great after.
How I Stay Motivated:
All of my friends on BB.com keep me motivated and I love to help others achieve their goals too.
BB Accomplishments:
Placed 2nd in Medium Class and Masters in the 2008 NGA Natural Diamond Classic

What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Pulled my hamstring about 2 1/2 years ago. I was stretching between sets and I actually heard it pop. I couldn't walk for weeks because my leg wouldn't extend forward. It took months for it to heal and actually stopped doing legs after that. I just started doing a regular leg workouts 5 weeks ago (mostly due to laziness!) I did do leg extensions (most machine exercises but no squats)Pulled my hamstring about 2 1/2 years ago. I was stretching between sets and I actually heard it pop. What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Not warming up properly and not doing the exercise properly.
I love the challenge of food day at work. I really don't know why but I guess it's just the competitiveness in me. Today they decided to have Friday the 13th potlock day. So I brought a cheese and bacon dip. While all my over-sized co-workers stuff their faces I just keep thinking about...
Hope you and the family are enjoying Canada and you are having a wonderful Holiday season. I will be awaiting to hear from you on your return and I also added you on facebook as well, Take care
How have you been? I haven't heard from you in a while. Hope to hear from you soon, and you better be ready for April b/c I am going to keep checking in on you.
yes I am in Germany, but we leave in March to St Roberts, Mo (Fort LeonardWood). Where are you located at? You should do the show in Pattonville, Mo on the 10th of April. It is an INBF show though. Both shows sent me registration forms already for a discounted fee. Let me know and I will forward it to you
You look amazing as well, the reason I asked is b/c I will be at that show as well, if I decide not to do the Tx shredder which is on the 24th as well. So I guess I will see you there
Hi Jenny!! Just closed on a house and now I'm prepping for my big move! (Crosscountry DURING the holidays, CRAZY!)Glad things are going well for you. I haven't been on here too much, I've been super busy! I'll probably be off-line until after the holidays so I hope your Christmas is a happy one!!
My competition's actually the 3rd, not 23rd, in Boulder, CO. Though there typically is another show about 3 weeks after that if I'm feeling up for it and have the funds for the entry fees. That one's usually in Pueblo, CO.
