Rachel McLish has always been my idol ever since I saw her on the cover of Muscle & Fitness Magazine She's the reason I got into bodybuilding.
Over the years I have never had any goals, just go to the gym, lift weights and try to stay in shape. Never really ate proper or took supplements when I was supposed to.
Well it's time for me to finally achieve my goals and get serious. I did the Body For Life Challenge in April 2008 and then competed for the first time in November, 2008 at the age of 42. Never underestimate yourself. Never say never because it's NEVER too late.
Why I Love It:
It keeps me strong and healthy and I feel great after.
How I Stay Motivated:
All of my friends on BB.com keep me motivated and I love to help others achieve their goals too.
BB Accomplishments:
Placed 2nd in Medium Class and Masters in the 2008 NGA Natural Diamond Classic
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Pulled my hamstring about 2 1/2 years ago. I was stretching between sets and I actually heard it pop. I couldn't walk for weeks because my leg wouldn't extend forward. It took months for it to heal and actually stopped doing legs after that. I just started doing a regular leg workouts 5 weeks ago (mostly due to laziness!) I did do leg extensions (most machine exercises but no squats)Pulled my hamstring about 2 1/2 years ago. I was stretching between sets and I actually heard it pop. What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Not warming up properly and not doing the exercise properly.
I didn't realize I haven't posted anything since the beginning of August. I've been super busy with school and ended up dropping out because it was just too much. My diet and training sucked and then we got really busy at work a few weeks ago and I've been working 11-12 hr days. I'm...
I'm totally with you on that. Let's keep sending positive vibes and encouraging thoughts to each other...that way we'll both be looking well at the Arnold...:)
Wishing you a magnificent Monday, stunning lady. Keep up the sensational results and dedicated efforts. Ready for winter? I need mental fortitude for Nov and Dec...:)
I am back from IFBB SA’s. I got a controversial 3rd place. I don’t want to go in to the whole issue. The decision has been made and nothing can change it. No need for me to rumble on about the issue. I have uploaded photos and the top 3 comparisons under my progress pics. I also uploaded my posing routine under the video clips. I say the truth lies in the pictures. Please check it out and let me know what you think.
Hi! The show went great. I won the Heavyweight line-up and qualified to go to the IFBB SA Champs. I decided not to peak at this show or to come in so hard and so I sacrificed the Overall Title. I want to peak at SA's and take the Overall Title there. Current weight - 241.34lbs. Competition pics are up. Check them out and let me know what you think. Fun and games will start know. I will be dropping another 8.8 to 11lbs.
