This was the first time for being trying to compete in the Bikini division. I consider myself a figure girl, because of my leanness, but I was told I have a bikini "booty" and its all about the butt!! LOL>.. well, I don't know. I didn't place all that well (4th out of 6) but I LOVED bikini over figure, so I think I'll try it again! |

This show prep was very difficult for me, for a number of reasons. Motivation was a huge factor, in the fact that I had been prepping and dieting for nearly 6 months and missed out on competing in another show just 6 weeks prior. My work schedule was crazy and I was trying to do way too much. I was overtraining and my body was just not responding. SO although I had hoped to come up from 8th place last year, by the time the show began, i was just hoping TO place at all!! I did in fact, get 15th... which is the last place you CAN get... ha! I was actually excited about that. But now I am armed with a new plan and ready to compete at team universe in New York on Sept 6th 2008!! |

This was my first national level show. Almost all the girls had some kind of top 3 placing in other shows. It was a long weekend, prejudging for two days, that was a new experience in itself. I found a whole new meaning of dehydration. Now, that I've gotten my feet wet, I'm ready to step it up to be at the top of this level! |

This was my first show! The prep was hard, but I did it! I felt beautiful in my suits and I knew I was in top 5, but... at finals they made a mistake and gave someone else my trophy... Jon Lindsay made it up to me and I got a bodybuilding trophy instead..lol!! |
