When I Started:
May, 1983
How I Started:
Was skinny and picked on in school. Started doing bodyweight exercises described in library books when in Junior High School. Got good at pullups, pushups and situps and suprised and annoyed my gym instructor in 8th grade by getting "presidential fitness award". Went from "Charles Atlas Course" to real weights in high school, then really hit the weights hard at Purdue and while co-oping.
Why I Love It:
Body appearance, strength and feel. Confidence and control.
How I Stay Motivated:
Trying to keep up with my younger partners and the many superior physiques in the gym, in the mags and online.

What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
Elliptical trainer w/ heart rate regulation. I can read and listen to music of the right tempo and ignore the cardio.

See u went to Purdue. You still live in Indiana? With your conditioining you should seriously consider doing a comp. Looks like you enjoy showing off your results!

I'm having problems with how the friends sections works ... contacts that don't appear, if a person leaves bodyspace you can't remove them, etc. It's causing lots of problems with my trying to maintain it so I'm just getting rid off all those connections and using the tried and true method of bookmarking your bodyspace URL to visit your profile to see how things are going with you.
Looks like you've made a lot of progress the last year man. The arms in particular look a lot bigger. You doin' anything different for arms? Mine just don't wanna grow.
I heard that! Never a dull moment here..but trying to stick with it! Hope it mellows out for you man...but it does say a lot that you can deal with the chaos and keep an awesome physique. most can't get their body together w/ or w/o any adversity.
