I was 16 and was tired of not being the person I wanted to be.
Why I Love It:
The iron never lies to you, you can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you are a god or a bastard, the iron will always tell you the real deal, the iron is the greatest reference point, the all knowing perspective giver, always there like a beacon in the pitch black, i have found the iron to be my greatest friend, it never freaks out on me, never runs, friends may come and go but 200 pounds is always 200 pounds-Henry Rollins
How I Stay Motivated:
I still teach gymnastics and cheerleading at the age of 32. I want to make sure I can continue to do everything I could do 10 years ago.
BB Accomplishments:
Keeping my bodyweight at or above 220 while maintaining less than 10% bodyfat for about a year. I stay between 12-15%.

My new long term goal would be to be able to bench press anything over 400 lbs once. But, I don't want to train like a powerlifter so there is the rub. I'll get there by 40.
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Combined injury from lifting and teaching gymnastics for years. I get back spasms so I can't do squats or deadlifts anymore. It's still there if I'm not careful.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
Once again back on leg day. The rest of my workouts have kind of taken a backseat with all of the things I have going on right now. I am getting in 3 or 4 but, the only one I am really worried about is hitting legs consistently. today I was one step closer to my goal of 1000 lbs for...
haha! totally! I know they were serious super heros! I loved it growing up! They could do anything! Yeh, its totally in the blood. I've just begun to carve all the fat off my body and totally transform, and my dads like, 'Yep, You're becoming a 'Poole' now' its like a 'coming of age' lol...
I was helping those high school girls. They aren't bad. They went from never stunting and now they both can land toss hands. It also helps that they weigh nothing.
Right I will. Send me that e-mail if you don't mind. My e-mail is homernukem@hotmail.com and my myspace is myspace.com/sweetdosh
These highschool girls were wanting to learn how to stunt. What is a simple progression I should help them with. I started with walk ups because they are easy for me but...
Man I still suck I'm working on libs right now. I've got my back tucks down but I still suck at stunting. Heck landing toss to hands took me months and I can still only do it with the light girls. Walk ups are easy though.
thanks for that! stunting is no problem for me and im pretty flexible, but those girls have been cheering SO much longer than i have. i dunno if i could even begin to compete with that!
No, but I would have loved to. I was not a gifted tumbler, lol, back in the day & didn't have good resources to get better. It wasn't until I moved & started coaching and being in a cheer gym all the time that I actually got better. It was a little late by then.
i think you need a full for uga and i only have a backhandspring =/
if i took classes, im sure i would pick it up pretty quickly, but i never have time for tumbling classes
I've gotten better. Well kind of. I think I'm still scared so I close my eyes and jump as high as I can. I over rotate most of the time. I'll try to get a new video on here sometime.
i would love to cheer in college, but i would have to get my tumbling down. i was going to cheer with an all-stars team down in florida, but i ended up tearing ligaments in my foot during the first practice!
