How I Started:
My girlfriend at the time(beginning of my sophomore year in high school) said I would look better if I started doing push ups. I saw some changes that I liked and kept going. Workouts were basic at the beginning, usually the beach muscles. I started training seriously in 2004, my first year in college.
Why I Love It:
Its a mental satisfation. Knowing that growth is happening and you did something that actually benefited yourself.
How I Stay Motivated:
The movie Pumping Iron helps keep me in the gym.
BB Accomplishments:
Gained 15lbs of muscle since I started training hard; took myself from 158-173. Since then I've gotten to 178.
I was tired of being the little guy in the gym. I had good definition but that doesnt demand respect like size and strength does. That is what I wanted, so for the last 2 years Ive been trying to gain weight. I went from 158-183. Out of the 25lbs Ive put on, 17 are muscle and 8 are fat. I would love to get to 200lbs and be under 10% fat.
