When I Started:
Jan, 1967
How I Started:
Started over 40 years ago. I started because I wanted to get bigger like my older cousin. IN college I renewed my efforts as part of a fitness program. Goals changed a little as time passed but I eventually decided that more muscle everywhere is a good thing. (I tend to get fat)
Why I Love It:
Feels great. I understand what I'm doing and the feedback is immediate.
How I Stay Motivated:
Most people my age look like heck and I firmly believe that after about 45-50 YO. you can loose it and never get it back.

Thank you - 50 feels great so far! I do a five day split for lifting - hasn't changed much from when I posted under the workout tracker. Also do cardio every day.
hey gray,i work 2 sets to failure with one drop set (30lb) on every exercise.I just added the drop set and i'm starting to harden up.I hit bodyparts twice a week so i think 2 to failure is fine.If you're hitting it once a week, then definatelly at least 3 or 4 sets...wouldn't you think......Roy
Thanks for the reps! These"straps vs no straps" threads annoy me; I've NEVER met a bodybuilder who cared one bit about his "grip strength".
I'll hit you back on recharge.
