How I Started:
I purchased an inexpensive new Bowflex off eBay after letting my body go for years. My arms had atrophied to less than 10.5" resting!
Why I Love It:
Increased strength and flexibility. Positive comments!
How I Stay Motivated:
By getting positive feedback, watching the gains of others, and feeling stronger.
BB Accomplishments:
So far I've added more to my arms (3/4"), chest (1.5"), and shoulders (1") than I thought possible in the 6 short months I've been using my Bowflex.

Goal (Overall):
I'd like to add about 10 lbs. of muscle to my frame while flattening my stomach.
Goal (Long):
Facing 50, my goal is pretty simple: a return to a healthier body so I can face the next years on my feet instead of my back. I've had some health challenges that have reminded me that doing nothing is no longer an option. With that in mind, I'd like to add strength and some mass to my upper body and legs without adding to my stomach, keeping moderation in mind to prevent (recurring) lower back and knee injuries. I'm thin; my body fat is already low at 5.7%, so I don't need to work on that. My ideal weight would be around 145-150. Although I'd like to make gains before the summer of 2009, this is more a long-term health issue than a quick fix.

Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
I've set up a simple database using Quattro Pro--my computer is in my workout room so I can enter data quickly and easily.
