To build muscle mass, lose fat, and achieve a balanced aesthetic look.
Goal (Long):
To learn how to clean bulk and then manage my BF% with control and less hassle.
I've tried low-carb, HIIT, LISS, etc. but I'm having very little luck. Cutting is by far the hardest bb challenge I've encountered yet. The psychology of going to the gym, lifting, and knowing you won't gain muscle mass because you're in caloric deficit is very demoralizing. Hopefully in another year I'll get it down.
What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Doing presses (decline, bench, incline, shoulder) incorrectly. When the upper-arms go below parallel to the floor, the risk of injuring the rotator cuff increases dramatically. What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Consider each individual exercise carefully, do your research, and perfect your form. Nothing will slow your progress worse than injury, and injury almost always occurs as a result of poor form.
Monday: Back + Biceps
Tuesday: 30-40 mins LISS cardio
Wednesday: Chest + Triceps
Thursday: 30-40 mins LISS cardio
Friday: Legs + Shoulders
Saturday: OFF
Sunday: OFF
4-6 exercises X 2-3 Sets X 6-12 Reps per muscle group taking roughly 30 minutes per muscle group. ...
