HOW I STARTED:

Started Lifting weights for track and field and competed for the last 12 years in the throwing events.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love to try to get stronger and improve my athleticism.

maintanance again

Got pretty lean leading up to thanksgiving again.  Now in an effort to be realistic I will be maintaining throughout the rest of the holiday season.  Instead of trying to drop the last few pounds to be shredded, I will ease off the diet for a few weeks and simply try to maintain.  During this difficult time of year maintaining appears to be the best goal for me.  If I can avoid gaining that 10-15 lbs I will set myself up for an easy new years ripping plan since I will only need to lose 8-10 pounds to reach my best condition.  This sho...

faultered, but not giving up

I faultered on my diet the last couple days giving into brownies, cookies, pizza, cake, fast food, etc.  Now its time to get back on the horse.  I had been doing really well, then I went to visit family and couldn't (or rather decided not to) say no to a bunch of goodies.  I gained almost 10 lbs in 4 days!  Good new is it comes off really fast once I start eating normal again and not stuffing myself with crap.  I will just consider it the mother of all reloads.  I will cut for about another 3 weeks before gearing up for an...

Got my track and field competition done and threw the shotput well for the amount of work I put into it.  Planning another couple competitions throughout the summer, but for now the cut is on.  Going to hit the cardio consitently and clean up the diet further limiting my carbohydrates in the evening.  This should be enough to lose the 8 or 9lbs I need to be really lean.  I look and feel great now, but I definitely prefer to be ripped!  Got 15 minutes of morning and evening cardio today and nailed my diet.  It's interesting...
