i was 145 lbs when i started college (about the time of my first progress pic) and some random girl at the bar told me i was way too skinny haha. ever since then, i've been hitting the gym to bulk up a bit
Why I Love It:
i love seeing my hard work pay off and it gives me something to constantly work at.
How I Stay Motivated:
it really motivates me when people i've known for a while compliment me and recognize that i'm getting bigger
i've always been very skinny and just want to bulk up and add some lean mass. i started out weighing 145 when i went to college and i just graduated weighing 175. i've still got a long way to go and i'll probably never stop...
Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen those "chicken legs" you mentioned. :) Man, I do legs every week. I tend to be bottom heavy (er, leg heavy...), so when my jeans get too tight in the thighs, I lighten the weightload. Stick with basics (squats & such) & keep good form. It's boring, but it works! Your upper body looks great! Abs have really surfaced and arms & chest are looking awesome! Maybe one day, you'll post some leg pis. :) Let me know how things go!
doing well, thanks. slow and steady... putting on about 1 lbs of muscle per month. really trying to step up the weight i'm lifting and sacrificing some reps but getting some nice size. how u been?
Man,I've been great. I started working out with a partner, regularly, about 5 or 6 weeks ago & I've been on a cycle of the Animal M-Stak for a little over 2 weeks. I'm seeing growth in my arms for sure, and my weight is steadily increasing without me looking too soft, so I'm very happy!
cool. glad it was helpful. i totally know where you're coming from on the legs... i got the same problem. m-stak was amazing. while i was on it i focused on my legs but saw gains all around. in terms of my leg exercises i warm up first a bit on the bike then jump to the smith machine (wide stance, toes pointed out squats, narrow stance almost like sitting into a chair, and then lunges)...
totally hear you there. in terms of cardio, i used to run about 12-15 min 4x per week. started at 8 speed on the treadmill and stepped it up 0.5 every 3 min. recently i've stopped running and am only doing bike or stairmaster. i think running tends to stretch out your muscles so thats why i switched. so far i'm staying lean and seeing greater muscle gains (although they may be because i just did a cycle of universal m-stak which was amazing)
