Overall Goal:  I want people to go "Wow, she's got a teenager?" www.fitnesspoynters.com. My 35th birthday is in November and I want to see more results by then. Age is nothing but a number, it doesn't define you!

Fit Status:  Protein powder...check. Celluc0r D-4 Extreme...check. Being back on plan again? PRICELESS!

Motivation Level: 10/10

When I Started:
Jun, 2009
How I Started:
My friend asked me to do the Big Climb in Seattle. It's a timed stair climb that is held in the tallest skyscraper in Seattle called the Columbia Tower. I knew I needed to lose weight and build endurance if I was going to make it to the top. I dropped 17 pounds and raced the tower in 27 minutes. My goal is to do it again March 2010 with a faster time!
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of pushing my body to levels I never thought I could. I love the energy I get as well.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at pictures of myself at the heaviest. I never want to see that person in the mirror ever again. *I have a goal dress and skirt I want to wear. I want my arms perfectly toned in the dress.* *When I reach 160 I am throwing myself out of a perfectly good airplane and skydiving!*

When I knew I needed to change
This was taken at Mt Rainier back in Oct '08 and I was 217 pounds. I joined Weight Watchers and was just starting to train for the Big Climb Seattle that upcoming March. Wow....if I ever look like this again just club me like a seal.
Better quality picture from my brother.

Transform My Body
Goal (Overall):
I want people to go "Wow, she's got a teenager?" www.fitnesspoynters.com. My 35th birthday is in November and I want to see more results by then. Age is nothing but a number, it doesn't define you!
Goal (Long):
I have fought my weight and fitness level for the last 10 years. I kept saying it was just the weight I gained from having my kids. Well my "baby" is now 9 and I have no more excuses. I have recently become more active in training for races and I want to cross every finish line knowing I put 100% into each and every race. The less body mass I have, the faster I will reach the finish line. One foot in front of the other is my motto. You can't go forward if you are constantly looking behind you. I got tired of saying I would start my workout tomorrow. My tomorrow is finally here and I am 100% committed.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 30 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
22%

Big Climb Seattle 4/21/10

The commitment and dedication he puts to each person on his team is amazing. Also to see the progress he's made is just awe inspiring. I wish him nothing but the best!
When my brother first joined BB he showed me Tiffany's site. I figured if she could do it so could I. So I aspire to have flat abs like hers someday!

How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
5/10/20/30 depending on what I am doing. I do 5 of the first exercise, 10 of the next etc... my final set is always 16 of everything though. Because that is how it was written up for me.
- Updated Aug 4, 2009 11:00pm

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
no longer than 45 seconds so I can catch my breath or drink water if needed. I don't stop any longer because if I do I won't keep going also again I was told to do it like this.

Hello...hope you are doing well! Headed out your way week after next for work. Actually going to be in Seattle. Wanted to touch base to see if you have any "must-do" recommendations while I am there. May have a day to tour, but most of my free time will be in evenings.

Hi Jen, Good job on your progress and glad to hear your back on track. I fell off for 6 weeks and boy o' boy was it hard to get back in the groove. I also gained alittle more then 6lbs myself. It happens and all we can do is move on and get back on track. Keep the positive attitude going, you can do this! Go Team Poynter!

10/1 is the 5K. It is the first one I have ever done...never really liked running all that much, but the competition adds a little more spice to it! You have a great weekend as well...we are headed to the beach in the morning...can't wait!

Actually I don't mind the chicken breast and grapefruit too much when I know that it's going to help me get the results I'm looking for. But we can't let Steve think he's getting away with too much by eating junk food. :)

Thank you! My wife has been doing great! She ran 3 times last week and has run twice so far this week. Right now, that is all she is trying to do is run 3 times a week. Maybe I can get her into lifting in a few weeks!

You got it...I sleep like a rock! Luckily, the kids always were good sleepers from about 4 months on. You mentioned my wife...she just got started working out again this week after taking off the last 5-6 months. I am excited for both of us to be doing this together...hopefully this will help both of us be more disciplined.
