Improve health and functional fitness to enable me to fully participate in the lives of my family and friends for many years to come.
Goal (Long):
Reduce my weight by 10% of current, seeking improvement in blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels beyond that attained with medication. Then further reduce my weight to that level appropriate to my age and height.
Increase my endurance level to support extended activities such as hikes, running, etc. Improve my strength and conditioning beyond the average for my age group.
Position myself as a positive role model to my family as my children grow up.
