When I Started:
2001
How I Started:
My dad. he has lifted as long as i have been alive. when i was a kid the basement was his workout area. he had a power rack, dumbells and a pulley machine on top of other things. i also grew up watching arnold movies, he was my favorite actor as a kid, any movie he was in i was watching it ( commando was my fav). so once i got old enough my dad showed me some basic moves and i have been hooked ever since
Why I Love It:
good stress relief, when i am at the gym i strap on my i pod and i don't think about anything else. when i am done i feel great and i love to push myself
How I Stay Motivated:
i love going to the gym, if i don't go then i feel bad ( dirty) so that isn't the hard part. the hard part is eating clean, i love food. i try to tell myself if i eat bad all the hard work i do in the gym isn't going to show ( it is a working progess) i also love my i pod, without that cardio would be really hard.
BB Accomplishments:
none, i wouldn't say i am a bodybuilder, i just like to workout and be healthy
In october of 2009 i have gotton my family to agree that everyone is going on a diet and starting to eat better. i really sujested it for my mother and farther, they are getting older now and it is even more important for them to get with the program. my dad lifts about 3 days a week but...
hey! hubby had a scope (bone spurs and arthritis cleaned out) he is doing very well-his strenghth is way down of course but range is awesome-he actually ran today (1 mile) at a local road race! :) hows your training coming along?
thanks for checking out my site!how are things going for you and training? my hubby had shoulder surgery last week, and he is dying to get back in the gym!!how are you doing with your shoulder these days??
well thanks brotha....well i have started playing a little basketball like three nights a week as my cardio but this is the first time i have every done cardio in my lifting career
Getting a little better every day. Still fustrating though. I notice the pressure from the barbell and hand placement when squatting hurts quite a bit. Feels like before the surgery, but i think its still stretching back out? Of course benching still hurts, gonna back off weight some more, i think shoulders are too weak still. Thanks for asking! Hows it going with yourself?
hey! about my leg day and cardio...genitically im one of those that can build muscle at the drop of the hat-i force myself to do cardio after intense days for fear that i will build too much bulk-cardio is about the only way i can balance out my hypertrophy abilities..lol!yeah i know that sounded crazy-anywas happy new yr!!!
its the meal replacement bulking bar on this website
i find the bars are really mushy and you have to eat it out of tin foil but they are really tasty if add combed honey and take out some peanut butter. http://www.liftforlife.com/pro teinbars.htm
hope this helps
Brian
thank you! same to you! hope your shoulder heals up FAST and you can meet and exceed ALL of your 09 goals! im in your corner cheering ya on! wishing you and yours a happy new yr!!
