Overall Goal: At 35, there lies a fork in the road ahead of most men. You can concede that the gut is inevitable, OR you can stay active and choose to do the hard work that will preserve your health.

The before pictures scared the living daylights out of me!
Why I Love It:
Enables you to turn the clock back a bit. Not for vanity reasons, but for health and overall quality of life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Well, the motivation pix could stay on the table, but there is a major feeling of accountability knowing that you've just uploaded a pic of yourself in your Calvins for the entire Internet to judge. That exposure gives a little mental reminder before you tear open the bag of M&Ms.
At 35, there lies a fork in the road ahead of most men. You can concede that the gut is inevitable, OR you can stay active and choose to do the hard work that will preserve your health.
Goal (Long):
Admittedly, at 35 I've slipped. Wife, kids, job,etc....The stress of just daily life can cause you to forget about yourself. It is easy to begin to believe the excuses that "there isn't enough time, etc." My goal is to reset and lose some of the weight that has crept up on me. Additionally, I'd like to add some of the lean mass that has eroded over the years. While I don't expect to get back to high school playing weight and build, I would like to be the best version of myself that is possible. So I'm shooting for a May transformation deadline. Just before summer, pool, etc. I'm hoping to cut BF% by 5 points and add at least 5 lbs. of lean mass.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
17%

OK so this new web thing just revealed another litttle perk. Evidently when you slack off of blogging it zaps you an email to keep you honest. Hmmm neat benefit. Been sick. Damn weather change is killing me. Can't wait til it's much warmer and I can get outside. Yes, admittedly the basement...
Hey guy, your transformation, profile story, and tagline are truly amazing. Your avitar pic is awesome--the muscle density, thickness, balance, and symmetry is remarkable. Yours is truly a success story worth celebrating. Just look at those quads and calves--you've got an awesome physique.
Yes, this is an excellent site to collect info, trade stories and keep motivated. You already have an impressive foundation to pack some serious muscle on. Keep training strong. -Jeff
Hey man, Hope you're sticking with it. Looks like you've got a good base to work from. If you eat clean and train smart you'll be amazed at how much muscle you can gain/fat you can lose in a short time. Although I did BBing as a teen, I left it for 20 years. I've gotten back to where I'm at now in only 2 years! Mike
Throw those arms up and flex those biceps... you are in better shape then most men your age and this is just your starting point - now get down stairs and get to work! Good luck my friend!
Hey man, congrats on getting started! It's totally doable. You know, getting into top shape and being a 30 something, and being a dad, and having a gym in the basement (check out my blog about home gyms). You can do it. --Mike
