Hi Richard - thanksfor asking. I had a great time, felt comfortable on stage, came in 4th out of 4 which was a disappointment, but I had the most entertaining routine! And confirmaton that legs need lots of attention for thenext show. I am doing legs 2x week now and feelingth epain! My goal is to add 2" to legs by the end of April. It seems do-able. How are you doing?

Thanks Donald - I am doing squats currently at 125 on the Smith machine - 5 sets of 10, holding the last one for 10 seconds. I'm sure your light weight is a lot higher than that, right? But I will go lower and squat lower for a while and add that to the regimen. My legs are extremely sore today - except the quads! A trainer this am suggested that perhaps my glutes and hams are catching up to the qauds - but I think I will add the low weight low squats. Thanks! Gary

Hey Donald-- that's my middle name! I took a week's break after the first competition. Learned a lot, had a great time, and it was glaringly clear that my challenge is legs. so I am upping legs to 2x week, and the quads need to burn more. Your legs look incredible. How did you build them? What exercises? Etc -- Thanks for checking up on me. good luck with musclemania. Impressive bod there. Gary

Thanks Glenn -- I am pumped to do the next phase, and I am probably going to cheat and do my first leg workout tomorrow am. Any ideas? I have been doing smith squats @115x10, 4-5 sets, holding the 10th rep for 10 seconds. Calf machine, 135x10, 4 sets. Also leg ext 145x10, 10secs. on last rep, 4 sets, and Ham extension 160x8-10, 4 sets. Glutes and calves on the leg press,230#x10, 3 sets... I need to do legs more often, but other exercises? Lunges have hurt my knees...

Hi David -- Interesting -- I have consulted with a lot of Methodist churches here. I am in the ELCA. And I am an occasional choir director myself. Thanks - I plan on having a good time tomorrow -- I have been grinning all afternoon. Pray for me at 2 PM CST tomorrow! God is good. Gary

Well my man - here I go -- two days out. the XPEL has had jsut the right effect, and I am under 150 this week for the first time in 25 years. Now carbing upo a bit, and I will be ready. Thanks for your support.

Wow aren't you lookin good! Great progress in the delts and traps! And thanks -- I am working on my routine to "Cuban Pete", so once I get this baby down I will just have fun. one-tap two - tap three toss, four toss, etc.! It's getting there.
