When I Started:
How I Started:
The progression went from child athlete to high school athlete to college athlete to better-join-a-gym-and-work-off-my-college-weight-i-ain't-no-ball-playa-no-mo to OH CRAP I JUST HAD A BABY to hey, let's run a marathon to OH HOLY HELL NOW I'M OVER 35 AND THIS IS GETTIN RUFF so how about doing a 1/2 IRONMAN TRIATHLON to get after it!!! and here i am =)
Why I Love It:
It's my time to shine!! haha... seriously now...i wouldn't know what to do with the extra time if i didn't and finding out isn't an option cuz it would probably involve me...a tv... and a trough full of vanilla ice cream w/ chocolate syrup! not a pretty picture i just painted for ya'll!! :)
How I Stay Motivated:
Without this, I'd be buying some therapist their next house, boat, car and dog! I think the gym's a much cheaper alternative =D
just starting to think about adding weights. this is painful to keep up but i do for motivation! BLECH!
not sure i see toooo much progress, but i haven't had the time, nor the energy, to put the time in. i'm lucky to get 45 mins for my trainings (sooo hard for this endurance junky!) since i can't dedicate the time to training (causing me great anxiety), i'm focusing on my food intake..
Only 500 characters to say why she inspires me?! CAN'T DO IT! suffice it to say, that when I want to give up, i just think "WWSD" and that's enough to get my tail back out there, put down the chocolate and run that last mile!
he got me to like tuna.. WITHOUT the melted cheese, mayo and bread.. gotta give the kid props for that.. and he's natural.. all about putting in the hard work and eating right without the need for all the supps..
Seems I've been reading alot of blogs lately about overweight people and the choices they make (obviously regarding food). And while I have no issue with these blogs (and certainly not the people who've written them), I do find that my bleeding heart liberalism is being tugged for...
Although Boston is full, I was given a slot by my running club, and sent off my apllication yesterday. The odds are very good that there will still be room for me.... so hopefully on 4/19 I'll be running the famed 26.2 miles
Define chores? Like cleaning their house or something? I know you probably take blood pressure and checks different times of the night. I guess it would be a nice relaxed setting to be in. As long as the patient is sleeping peacefully. You there now?
How old is the patient? What are your duties while there? It sounds like babysitting to a point just sitting at their home. They go to sleep and then your just at their place with nothing to do.
But how much can you do from their house? Not like you can bring machines to every house other then small monitors. Then you just spend the night in their house? Seems strange lol.
No but I felt like I was for a few days there. We were literally stuck at home. There were 5 ft drifts in front of our house. UGH...so glad to finally be dug outta that mess sista.
