When I Started:
How I Started:
My boyfriend introduced weightlifting to me while I was in college. Then tried Body For Life. That was where I learned the most about fitness/nutrition.
Now, I train daily (CrossFit, Muay Thai, lifting, running, spinning etc...) and eat squeaky clean, well, most of the time...
Why I Love It:
It makes me strong and happy. I look forward to my time in the gym. It keeps me sane.
How I Stay Motivated:
I surround myself with anything fitness or nutrition related. Magazines, books, websites, tv, etc... Love to hear about new training methods, power foods, how professional athletes train, gadgets that help performance, all that motivates me! I can't get enough.
BB Accomplishments:
At the time, Running a 10K. Couldn't believe when I crossed the finish line with my girlfriend. We thought we wouldn't even finish, let alone not stop once the entire run. Best feeling ever! Now I've cut 16 minutes off that time! Woo Hoo!
Oh bodybuilding...well....I still have a loooong way to go but I'm happy with how far I've come. Seeing the slight changes in the shape of my body keeps me motivated.
Muscle definition. My focus is to train like an athlete. The "go hard or go home" mentality. Growing up, I was always involved in sports. Bit of a tomboy. Nutrition was not even in my vocab. I ate whatever I pleased and didn't gain a pound. Then I grew up. Sports were not a daily thing anymore. Gained some extra lbs and became skinny fat. ew.
So I started lifting. and researched nutrition. Now I'm happy and more focused then ever to get ripped!

For the last couple of weeks I've been trying to get my cardio done in the AM (Pam told me to, you don't know her but she knows her stuff). Like 6:30am. People in my house think I'm nuts. Some days I think I am too but whatev, I do it cause it makes me feel hardcore, like Rocky or Jessica Biel....
Whoa! I just signed on to check out the blogs quickly and yours was top!
CONGRATS on morning HIIT! I am addicted to morning training now. It's soooo much better, and you're so tired, you don't really realize what you're doing until it's done!
Wooot woot woot!! SOS foreva!!
Miss you muchly.
Love Tallulah
Hey thanks. It's a bit weird having a running goal on a BB site, but it's really just a good way to cut over the winter, plus it's a great personal challenge. End goal is the muscles! ;) I think running is a great yard stick for measuring fitness - I mean, sure buddy you can bench 300lb but can you run for 2hrs with your heart beating along at 170bpm??? Anyway, enough ranting, how are you going with the muscles?
Hey girl, love your pic. I'm training for a half marathon in NZ at the mo, so I can relate to the feeling of completing a long distance run. It's so satisfying! Just ran a 15km training run yesterday, and building up to 21km. Hurts like hell, but worth it! All the best!!
