How I Started:
Recently I lost 50 pounds but then hit a plateau! I was doing cardio up to an hour and a half a day and not getting any results!! So I started reading Oxygen magazines and learning more about how I needed more protein and how much weight lifting helps burn fat! So I got a gym membership at my local gym and started!! I was immediatly hooked! Now I am on my way to being in the best shape of my life!! :)
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of power that lifting weights gives to me!! I love pushing myself to see how far I can go!!
How I Stay Motivated:
I cut pictures out of Oxygen magazine and paste them all over my house!!:)

foxyredchanged Weight from 190 lbs. to 189 lbs., a 1 lb. loss in 24 days
I got up one morning in December 2008 and stepped on the scale and it read 229 pounds!! I decided right then and there I would start treating myself better. Since then I have lost 50 pounds! I gained some back but I am working on loosing it ALL this time!! I want my first goal to be 165 lbs and then Ill have to see after that!!
I dressed up as Quasimodo. It was a lot of fun, I scared a lot of people by running around hunched over and charging at people. I wish it was Halloween everyday. You can see a picture in my photos if you want.
Yes! That is what the research shows. High Intensity Training is the key. It lets you maintain your muscle mass while shedding "fat". It's a challenge (because it is more taxing than regular cardio) but I'll bet you will be very happy with the results. Keep pushing, girl!!!! Happy to hear from you!
Thank you for your wonderful reply. It would be my absolute pleasure to assist you in any way as you work to achieve your fitness goals and or dreams.
Believe and achieve!
Hi! I stopped in to see how you are doing. My training is going well. I managed to put on a pound of muscle, which for me is VERY challenging. I hope things are going well for you too!
As a fellow Canadian I just stopped by to wish you success as you work towards your fitness goal. Exercising and a proper nutrition program helped both myself and my wife (bodyspace: judimax) feel and look better than we ever have. If there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance please feel free to give me a yell. I would like nothing better than to see you achieve all you dream of on your fitness journey. Stay strong, focused and determined.
Hope you had a great weekend! ANd that your week is off to a wonderful start! Check out my blog if you have a chance, http://taraathatcher.blogspot. com/2009/10/lets-get-cooking.h tml
