What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
As a lady and for the ladies:
1) Please do NOT follow the misconception that your body will transform into the dude-physique if you lift weights. Of course if you're on a "bulk-up" regiment, you will get jacked up. But that's for those with that particular goal. Lifting is an amazing and empowering way to get lean strong muscles, that actually boosts your cardio workouts AND helps you get that nice body you seek.
2) Don't get discouraged! It can be difficult at times to be the only female in free-weights (a.k.a. the "guy's domain"), but keep your head up and your focus. You should be proud to be one of the few that dare to challenge the norm. Plus, some guys are gentlemen enough to offer advice or assistance (even though some use it as an excuse to talk to you, help is appreciated).As a lady and for the ladies:

Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?
Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
