A metaphor to success.
No matter how passionate one is about the sport, fitness can be one of the biggest metaphors of success in your life. It takes time, dedication, patience and hard work. We all knew that already.
So as months .. and months pass.. then years begin to pass. You stop, and in the middle of it all you say "wow, I'm still here, and I'm still at it.". In that moment you really question what else you're capable of. What else can you sink your mind into, over months and years to ultimately achieve a reward for it?
Fitness then can stay a focal point of your life, but also become the backbone that shows and proves to yourself everyday, what you are willing to go through to get out of life what you want. I've created a bond with fitness, and I feel that even on days where I may think I don't want to shine in the fitness world.. it doesn't matter because a pact was made, and the metaphor keeps me going. Once it becomes that for you, once it starts giving you more than just a better physique, you won't be able to stop.
