I have always loved working out and the feeling of being strong. I love to throw around the heavy weights! When I started dating my now husband, he got me into believing that I could be a figure competitor and introduced me to clean eating - I've lost 25 lbs since then and am well on my way to my goal!
Why I Love It:
I love to see the muscles that I've worked so hard to build and I love to know that I can pick up any weights and move things without asking for help. :) I also really love knowing that I am really healthy and have a good shot at living to 101 like my goal!
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at pictures of figure competitors in the issues of Muscle and Fitness Hers.
BB Accomplishments:
I've dropped my bodyfat from 30% to 20% since I joined the Army 5 years ago, but I want to get down to at least 15% and want all my muscles to show my hard work!

This was the first picture that I took before I started eating clean, recording my workouts and eating times and was at a higher weight, somewhere between 135-142 lbs.
All my life I have wanted to not only be strong and independent but to have muscles and a body people envy. I want those washboard abs, the lower-belly pooch gone and tight arms and shoulders that scream hardcore. :)
My first goal was reached (being 120 lbs. the day of my wedding), my second goal was reached August 2nd (114 lbs and low bf). Not sure what my bf was, but I want to reach single digits at least once in my life and have a TIGHT body!:)
After recently finding out that I have hypothyroidism (and therefore my body is not producing hormones to regulate my metabolism = no metabolism) my current goal is simply to maintain my weight while my body readjusts to the thyroid medication I'm on. I want to get healthy more than I want to get ripped. So I'm taking this time to rest and recover, but still exercising - I don't want to lose any of my muscle! Once I've been optimized, I plan on going back to train with Noel Clark of Maximum Fitness and she's going to help me get the body of my dreams!
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 20 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%

Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
I think Jennifer Gates is pretty amazing. She has that fabulous combination of feminine curves with lots of muscle: big shoulders, cut abs but hourglass curves.

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Not increasing my weights!

What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
The step mill because it burns the most amount of calories in the shortest amount of time and I feel like I can literally feel my butt tightening up. :)
I had a great time at my first show and learned a lot. Now I'm in the rebound stage and trying to recover and get my hormones back to normal as I shed my water weight. I'm also wanting to build more muscle and muscle maturity, so let the off season begin! I don't feel like Mike was the...
It is almost easy to over look your incredible physiqe because it is to difficult to stop looking at that radiant smile! I appreciate your love for music because I have played clarinet among every other instument I could learn since I was in 4th grade. Keep up the good work.
Angela! Sorry you haven't heard from me in forever! Been doing lots and lots of working. How is everything? How is training going? I'm enjoying the offseason and I'm working my tail off to build build build. I KNOW you are too!! Have you decided when you're competing next?
Angela!!!!...Im making the comeback. Been at the gym for a week so far. Joe will laugh when you tell him ive gone back to the gym. Man girl how are you guys doing?! I will put up a pic soon! Awesome progress!!!!

(PS- I thought you looked great for your contest!)
The show is actually called Nationals and its in Atlanta. Rebounding is always the worst part of the sport. I rebound hard too. My body holds on to everything. I am already at 125 since this past weekend. my advice: don't look at the scale. enjoy this time off, but go back to your trainer now and request an off season diet. stay structured and focuse. april will come faster than you realize! wish you all the best girl :)

Hey girl...
Did we meet formally? I looked for you but I guess I didn't recognize you with all the tan and oil lol how did you do? thanks for the compliment. That show was TOUGH!
Thanks. I didn't even know the pre judging was last night. I so wasn't ready and had to come back to the hotel. I don't feel like I hit a few of my poses right but I did practice allot on my rear ham/calf position :) Have fun today.
