"Continue to stay lean while building my lean muscle mass, hopefully being able to bring my body to a denser, more muscularly mature, healthy level. Bring on the building season!"
I have always loved working out and the feeling of being strong. I love to throw around the heavy weights! When I started dating my now husband, he got me into believing that I could be a figure competitor and introduced me to clean eating - I've lost 25 lbs since then and am well on my way to my goal!
Why I Love It:
I love to see the muscles that I've worked so hard to build and I love to know that I can pick up any weights and move things without asking for help. :) I also really love knowing that I am really healthy and have a good shot at living to 101 like my goal!
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at pictures of figure competitors in the issues of Muscle and Fitness Hers and Oxygen magazines.
BB Accomplishments:
I've dropped my bodyfat from 30% to 20% since I joined the Army 5 years ago, but I want to get down to at least 15% and want all my muscles to show my hard work!

What would you attempt to do today if you knew you couldn't fail?
This was the first picture that I took before I started eating clean, recording my workouts and eating times and was at a higher weight, somewhere between 135-142 lbs.
Continue to stay lean while building my lean muscle mass, hopefully being able to bring my body to a denser, more muscularly mature, healthy level. Bring on the building season!
Goal (Long):
All my life I have wanted to not only be strong and independent but to have muscles and a body people envy. I want those washboard abs, the lower-belly pooch gone and tight arms and shoulders that scream hardcore. :)
My first goal was reached (being 120 lbs. the day of my wedding), my second goal was reached August 2nd (114 lbs and low bf). Not sure what my bf was, but I want to reach single digits at least once in my life and have a TIGHT body!:)
Oh yeah, and I want to be featured in a fitness magazine and finish getting my personal fitness trainer certification through ISSA.
Short range goal is to lose the water weight from the comp, return to a normal clean-eating pattern and reset my metabolism.
Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
I think Jennifer Gates is pretty amazing. She has that fabulous combination of feminine curves with lots of muscle: big shoulders, cut abs but hourglass curves.

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Not increasing my weights!

What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
The step mill because it burns the most amount of calories in the shortest amount of time and I feel like I can literally feel my butt tightening up. :)
Since I generally only keep up with people through Blogs or Progress Pics, did you find a new trainer that you are happy with?
FazerFX
(PS- I thought you looked great for your contest!)
The show is actually called Nationals and its in Atlanta. Rebounding is always the worst part of the sport. I rebound hard too. My body holds on to everything. I am already at 125 since this past weekend. my advice: don't look at the scale. enjoy this time off, but go back to your trainer now and request an off season diet. stay structured and focuse. april will come faster than you realize! wish you all the best girl :)
