When I Started:
Jan, 1988
How I Started:
I was pregnant with my first son and gained 90lbs!! I was only 99lbs when I got pregnant. I easily lost the weight with diet, but then came child #2...different story. I gained 50lbs, but only could loose 1/2 of the weight. Then came child #3, smartened up this time and only gained 25lbs, but was skinny fat. Soft, flabby, yucky!! I needed to do something and I started working out and doing some (teeny bit) of cardio. I caught the workout bug and started to become a fanatic. Yoga wasn't "in" back then and I started taking aerobic classes - hated them! But, I love the stretch. I eventually did several certification courses for yoga (I have 3 200+hr base trainings and several other specialty yoga trainings) and did an intensive, 6mo. Pilates training. That lead into several other Group Ex certs, and I became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. Now I am able to work doing what I love most, besides taking care of the family.
Why I Love It:
So many different reasons. I love the way I look at 40, even tho I still need to get my diet straighter. I can do things that keep me going with the kids, such as skiing, mtn biking, hiking and stuff like that. I get to meet the nicest people and I just love to take women that are inexperienced or intimidated into the free weight room and out of the gx room. It's quite a rush for me to be lifting and see vascularity and muscles. I was such a string bean. Growing up my parents & grandparents would constantly tell me to eat, eat, eat. I DID eat, I just didn't gain.
How I Stay Motivated:
My young husband, he's 13yrs my junior!!! Thanks to him, his supreme patience with my addictions and my endless "diet/workout schedules", it's possible to succeed. My kids are awesome too! All 3 go to the gym.
BB Accomplishments:
Seeing my abs after 3 c-sections is enough for me! I think that another accomplishment is just making it to the gym every day. Sometimes it's really tough just to walk out the door and get excited. I am determined to continue.

Goal (Long):
I would really like to see what I am made of. How far can I go? I am morphing into the real me finally. I am changing inside and out. I have to get my diet straight, no more cheating. Sometimes I don't even realize I just wolfed down some pizza or 1/2 my kid's fries. It's just a habit and I will succeed in breaking it.
Yeap, I am. I am staring at a sweet potato for the first time in a week. I am so excited. I think to myself "Self, what has happened in your life that a sweet potato gets you giddy?". Some things are best left un-pondered.
I think I've peaked on my chest cold. Last night...
